How in the hell are you digging in the files? I've tried some Metro resource explorer...thing, but it didn't seem to work. :tsk:

What's the second one? It sees familiar, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't appeared in M2033 or Last Light. Has it?

That's cool but why wasn't the Volt Driver in the game in the first place?

If you have too many weapons then you'll need to also add amo and stashes for all of them. This makes balance difficult as with 2033 you can accumulate shit loads of amo you'll never use and just sell it at the vendor markets.

The volt was very powerful so amo for these weapons should be scarce if they are considered as a weapon in your inventory slot.

I'd kill to have a Makarov pistol in the game as a DLC..should of been in the game from the start..makes no sense having a revolver..the Makarov was one of the main service pistols for Soviet/Russian police/military for years.

Sweet. I always thought the rails on the volt driver should be over/under and not side-by-side. Can't wait to try it.

Regarding a Makarov, you're not wrong, but I figure they didn't include include one because who's going to face off against mutants with a gun that holds 8 rounds of relatively weak 9x18mm?

Never was a huge fan of the Volt Driver in the first game, but the second one.....that has me very interested.

because ball bearings are so much better than 9mm rounds? XDDDD

Depends on your criteria for "better". Also depends on the projectile velocity. Of course, it's not like the Volt Driver is a realistic weapon anyway. A portable rail gun cobbled together from spare parts and powered by a hand-cranked battery? Not happening.

I was just saying that his argument is pretty much invalid since firing bearings at mutants surely would be more useless than a 9mm pistol..

tl;dr there is no reason to not put in guns like Makarov or TT :)

But it's not necessarily invalid. Crappy 9mm rounds made in the Metro might have a lower velocity than even the Tikhar. We don't know. It's not like we have technical specs on these weapons. And, even if we assume their 9mm rounds have about the same velocity as ones made today, it's still entirely possible for a somewhat slower, but larger, projectile to do more damage.
