What's your opinion on a MMORPG based only on PvP content? I'd find it really interesting to try as as far as I am concerned nobody had yet this idea to be published. What about you?

PvE exists as a n easy way for players to fund their PvP, and as a way of appealing to players that don't enjoy PvP exclusively. After all, MMOs have to make money to stay afloat. Even the MMOs that celebrate player competition and exploitation like EVE still need some level of PvE to fund their in-game economy. A PvP exclusive MMO limits it's possibilities for a lot of different systems. It just doesn't seem sustainable.

Training dummies with AI are an alternative tof din which PvP class/build/set fits you better I guess. I take as an example Guild Wars 2.. PvP can be done even at lvl 1 and you can train the class you've chosen in Heart Of The Mists with the training dummies and that works quite well.

I guess it could work out, though it would probably need to give players incentives for buying and playing the game. I would still prefer PvE in my MMORPG games myself since it isn't always fun playing against other people.

I think you'd be limiting your player base too much. I mean, would it be cool? Sure. But profitability may take a hit. You want people to keep playing your game even if they get tired of the multiplayer. Further, there is a whole group of people who just don't like PvP (so takes a hit in mass appeal).
