Personally, I find myself drawn to instances and quests. Storylines and working with dungeon parties are most enjoyable to me. I'm the same way with the Diablo series. I find much more joy in adventuring than making opponents out of my fellow players.

    What do you prefer?

PvE. Raiding's fun. Some of the quest lines are pretty engaging. Never was into PvP honestly. I'll do it once in a while just for shits and giggles via battlegrounds. As for PvP servers, never was my thing especially when I'm minding my business leveling and get camped because some 12 year old kid with their max toon decided that it'd be 'funny' to be a prick. There was only one exception on a RP-PvP server I was on. The only other times world PvP was enjoyable was when a server would schedule a duke out in Nagrand or whatnot with Horde vs Alliance.

Instances are really fun for me, if you have a good group. PVP is a nice refreshing change from the grind. I enjoy both in moderation.

It truly depends on my mood. Some days, I just want to wander the landscape and work on things mission-wise. Some days, I just want to punt a gnome or two. Mass casualties and the like. Each method has its own appeal, depending on what is appropriate at the time.

I wouldn't be able to choose. I love dueling in WoW but at the same time I love going on raids or dungeons, Both are really fun!

When I did play WOW (while was a long time ago), I avoided PVP like leprosy. Most of the time, it was usually people that had uber gear going after weaker players and I didn't really find fun in that. At least when I'm fighting against a monster, I can at least prepare myself and know what I'm getting into when I go fight. Finally, I'm more of a support type that will help in a dungeon than go up to people and attack them.

Ugh, I hate that part of PVP, with the over geared picking on the under geared. It's not nice. However, it is kind of fun to hide in a corner and fear and dot unsuspecting types....sorry, guilty! :p

I could never stomach the PvP in WoW, even though I find it fun in other games. That's why I was always a dungeon/raid maniac. :)

I would go PVP when the dungeon and raid types bugged me. When I finally had enough gear to raid, I was part of a guild full of whiny babies ("so and so took my spot, I thought I was main tank this week!! I'm never going to get (insert gear here)!!!" *cry* /gquit) Too much drama there, at least in PVP, I expect the whining in the chat, and can ignore it for the 5 minutes until the battleground ends.

It depends on what character I'm on. Most characters, I strongly prefer pve. I like the feeling of raiding with a whole group and downing a boss together. However, I strongly prefer healing in pvp, and keeping the whole battleground up and balanced.

It kind of depend of what kind of mood I am in. There are times when raiding is fun and I feel a little more aggressive, but then I have days when all I want to do is wander around and see what is out there and what I can find. I think that a good balance between both is the best way to go.

PvP is over-run with bots, not just in BG either. This is despite blizzards last 2 banwaves that were in actuality just long suspensions. PvE has been dumbed down for leveling and turned into a grind end game. I guess I'm saying pick neither. Play a better game. This ship is sinking.

I'm the same way. I only heal pvp and only damage pve, so it depends on whether I want to kill or heal things. Some days I just want to survive against other players and overheal and some days I just want to kill bosses. I like them both.

I wish there was a both. I love both aspects in WoW. I used to raid a lot, but I think I have always leaned a little more towards PvP. I have always loved it, but I always tried to keep it pretty even.

    PVE all the way! :p

If I wanted to compete with other players, I would've just gotten myself CoD or CS and take my sweet time murdering other people with little to no conscience. But the reason I'm playing a MMORPG is to experience the vast new world it offers in it's full, and sharing my experience with other people. Not competing with others to see who has the fastest fingers on a keyboard! A little bit of PVP is fun and all. But dedicating the whole gameplay time killing others? Nah, not my thing.

I know that people will tell me, "You are against PVP cuz you suck at it. Filthy casual." Yes. I'm not good at PVP. Do you know why? It's because I don't like it, and therefore never invested my time (and money) in it! I'm here to have fun, not have a bar fight!

PVE is pretty cool and i enjoy it a lot. But PVP is way more fun to me, because we need to make fast decisions and it's against real people!

PVE has always been my bellweather for MMO's. The quality of a team for PVP can change so much that I end up spending a significant amount of time in PVE. So, to me the quality of a MMO is determined by how engaging the PVE content is. That's why I quite enjoyed The Old Republic for instance, but WoW is quite decent in this regard as well and that's in part the reason I spent so much time on in the past.
