    I thought games come out on tuesedays? This comes out the 9th which will be a sunday.

    Wut? Everything in this thread says the 1st..

    On UK/European websites, 01/09/2012 means the first of september, not the backwards way the Yanks do it :p

    Oh well then the game would come out on a saturday.
    Which could mean the dates will be different here in the US. Because games don't pop up on saturdays here :p

    I'm doubtful thats the actual release date nothings been said officially and no other site amazon, best buy, or game stop has that as a date. I'm not saying that we won't see a 4th quarter release but theres nothing indicating that dates any more valid than amazons 12-31-12.

    True, AFAIK games usually come out on a Tuesday in the US and the following Friday in the UK, so the first of September is probably just a placeholder date, not the actual day of release.

    I don't trust random sources ;)
    Lol I have no idea, I usually just check gamespot for that stuff. They'r usually very accurate in the release dates :3

    Oh well I'm sure it will be worth it, but early 2013 normally means January and especially after Christmas people are normally broke.

    I find it unlikely it'll be released in January. Usually AAA releases come about March if they're going to arrive early in the year; as you said people are broke after xmas, and if they could have it done for January, it seems likely that they would have made the push and got it out for xmas.

    I was a bit concerned about the game being rushed anyway. At least they can concentrate on delivering a great game on all 3 platforms and nailing whatever plans they had for multiplayer, co-op.

    Yeah well, one can hope.

    For the sake of pessimism however I'll make this tiny prediction:
    • Multiplayer will probably have a little too much time spent on it relative to SP.
    • The game will be made with an Xbox-focus.
    • PS3 will have the worst technical issues, and the PC version will not make the most use of the resources available, unlike the original.

    No THQ officially announced the release date at early 2013 boyz.. we maybe aren't even going to play it :(

    4 platforms, because it's also coming for the Wii U. The Wii U is coming end 2012 and Metro: Last Light was going to be a launch game... Not sure about that anymore.

    I just saw the new release date in gamespot(Jan 21, 2013 ). I was preparing myself for this summer, but well I won't complain. My expectations are a little bit higher than before. ;)

    Well I am more than willing to wait a little longer if the game is gonna come out great. I don't want it to come out shitty then the devs need to release an update every other day. I would rather have the game spot on, on release day. And I am so pre-ordering this game. Just not now. I know if I were to do it now I would forget. Funny my friend said that metro 2033 sucked ass but has borrowed it like 3 times...
