Well, all of them are originals so to speak, but speaking about Fallout 1 and 2, would you like to see them updated to modern graphics and add some more content to it, or would you rather the new developers continue to release new Fallout games instead?
A very interesting question. I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of fall out tactics, I really miss that type of gameplay. But then again the new ones were amazing too, so it's really hard to choose!
I would totally love remakes of both 1 and 2, however, not in the Gamebryo Engine, that Fallout 3 and New Vegas were done in. I would much prefer the same top down isometric style, only modernized to today`s standards, with high resolution and greater functionality. For example, they could do something in the style of Shadowrun Returns.
It would be great to see a remake in the style that Chris_A mentions, but not something that played like FO3 and NV.
I'd love for the older Fallouts to be made for next gen consoles, I've never played any of the titles predating fall out 3, so thats something I would like to get into
You'd have to keep the topdown style of the first two games if you remade them. otherwise, you're just remaking Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Since HD rereleases are becoming such a popular thing I can definitely see this happening. A Fallout definitive collection or some form of remake with better graphics all DLC and fixes for all those out standing bugs and glitches that still affect the games.
Wishful thinking I know its very unlikely exxpecially since all the hype and attention behind Fallout 4 or what ever they decie to call the next game. But since thay have other smaller studios that need to show and prove I think thay should let them play around with the old games and remake them and in doing so naturally they will come up agains some of the bugs and errors in the game and surely find some way of fixing them. The likely hood of any game being remade or HD'd and re-released is very likely since most major dev studios have the AAA games to work on the publishers need to make money so they have the B team studios and devs work on spinoffs and remakes to make more money to fund the AA games and to line thoose fat pockets.
Put the NO is NOstalgia. Old games are never as good as people remember them. Thats not to say that the fallout games weren't good, they were. They were very good for their time. The thing is that Players taste change. Simply updating the graphics for a game isn't going to change the underlying game mechanics. There are few games that I am open to playing that are remakes.
