Since the game is now out, here are some of the reviews from different sources. Overall this game looks solid and interesting. Game Informer - 8.5/10 IGN - 7.4/10 Polygon - 7.5/10 MMGN - 7/10 Game Trailers - 7.3/10 Reader's Gambit - 7/10 Twinfinite- 3/5 IncGamers - 7/10 Gamers' Temple- 78/100 Gamespot - 8/10 Worlds Factory - 84/100 Eurogamer - 7/10
When did 7/10 mean average? That usually means great or much higher above average. 8/10 is really good. It's best to read the reviews instead of looking at ratings, see what the critics don't like and if that's a problem for you or not.
I have read some of the reviews, and most of them are good and well written and gives a accurate description of the game and makes you want to play the game. I may watch some videos of the review and game play and see how they are and than decide about it. I hope it does well, and get more articles about the game and, looks exciting to play and the graphics are impressive and look real like which is amazing.
i want to play this game just to prove the reviewers wrong. but it is such a consistent rating that i would sway my beliefs with the professionals who know what they're talking about.
I myself have read some reviews as well. Most of the reviews look promising and give a good idea of what the game is about. Usually i don't pay attention to reviews because they can be wrong. But those ones seem like they are accurate.
I don't think they're wrong, I totally agree with most or all of the reviews, the game is very good. Only IGN seems to not get the point of the combat by complaining that it's unbalanced.
I don't usually go by reviews. I sometimes have a different opinion on things then what the reviewers do. From what I read it seems like a pretty decant game. I will have to wait till I get a chance to play the game for myself before I decide if the game is good or not.
Honestly that's the best way, either play a game for yourself or read a review that does not have a score because that way you'll get an idea about what the game is about and whether you'll like it or not instead of the opinion of a reviewer.
These reviews have no bearing on my purchasing of this game (or any other game for that matter). As long as I have a demo or some other way of trying the game on my own, I can come to my own choice if a game is good or not. The biggest problem however is the perception the media put on the game in the first place. The perception was "the next Demon Soul's/ Dark Souls". Which right off the back isn't fair as the game should have been allowed to stand on it's own rather than be labeled.
Every major gaming outlet has given them a favorable score, so if you were on fence about this game, now is your time to get it.
The reviews look pretty good compared to most MMORPGs that "aren't WoW". It seems that the graphics are getting OK ratings, but I'm more excited about the storyline. I really trust the ratings of IGN, so it looks like I'll be getting this game soon. Steam, here I come!
I tend to look at both official reviews, friend's reviews, and my own thoughts on the game before I make up my mind if the game was truly worth it after or before purchasing. Unfortunately, I'm not one to be of much help right now. All I did was see the trailer and some of the reviews and suddenly I really want to play the game.
Honestly, it feels a bit easier than dark Souls, and the animations feel a bit rough. Other than that, I would say it's a 7/10. It has an Ok story and great gameplay, but something just feels a bit off. Then again, I've only played the game for about an hour. It would take me much longer to get a good impression of the game, but so far I'm enjoying it. This was a first impression, not an accurate review.
