    • Honestly PVP or player vs player is what kills MMORPG game classes, nerf this nerf that balance this guy so he matches that guy whine whine whine. EverQuest had dueling, it had a PVP area to fight each other as guilds, remember the arena in the river lake? cant remember the zone name post that in the comments please.
      In EverQuest you didn’t get nerfs like you do today, ya timers got changed, a bit of damage got altered, but not because it was a pvp balancing but because you really needed that nerf. An EverQuest enchanter would kick anyones arse in pvp.
      Of course please don’t nerf my Fear boots

    The arena that you speak of was in an area called Lake Rathetear and I do remember some fine battles being held there on my server. For me, it wasn’t enchanters that were feared, but geared Paladins and Monks. But, I do agree – PvP and PvE should never meet outside the walls of an Arena. Far too many balance conditions come into play and you’ll have World of Warcraft all over again. I do recall that EverQuest had servers dedicated to PvP, but there were disclaimers before character creation
