    Crytek is famous for their graphics, there's no question about that, but I feel they were lacking in the story development section. Do you feel they're going to do a better job with that on Ryse?

    No doubt the full weight and resources of the entire company is behind this project. They have invested tons of money, time and social capital into Ryse. This will be their greatest triumph! imo

    For what I've seen online tehre seem a lot of money in this poject, so IMO this will be a great game, hopefully with a great story too ;)

    You can't take Crysis as the base line. The game was basically a tech demo to showcase their next gen engine. All in all it still turned out to be a good game, so I have nothing but high hopes for this one.

    I'd have to agree with the other posters, to much time and effort was put into this game, over two years if I'm not mistaken, for it to have a bad story. Although the revenge element does seem like a bit unoriginal, where they go with it doesn't have to be.

    Yes probably it not be the best story ever seen...but I'm sure it will have other strong pro :)

    I'd have to disagree, I think Crysis had a pretty good story. You'd be hard pressed to create something that's 100% original, besides look at HALO, it's not one of the most original games ever made, yet it's one of the top franchises in gaming history.

    I don't need a lot of story personally. Just show me the graphics and solid game play.

    I'd think with the rich history of the Roman Empire, it would be a shame to skimp on the story telling. But I guess when you've been in development for two years you don't make such mistakes. I hope...

    They better have a good story.. I look forward greatly to a good story in video games.. especially and epic setting such as this. Gameplay and story are the two most important things in a game, graphics I don't' really care that much about they will not make or break a game.. the other two will..

    There are very few details about the story and the historical characters, but we will learn more in the next days because the game was just released. For now we only have the trailers on youtube released by the producers that feature a few interesting characters.

    I've heard that it does have a good story line. Though when I look at the score of reviewer's they are actually below average. Does that mean the story line isn't so good?

    Stories in video games have been evolving so much lately. And a premise like Ryse has a lot of potential. The video game industry is rivaling Hollywood now. We're going to start seeing better and better and better storytelling along with the gameplay.

    I recently got the chance to play Ryse all the way through and I can tell you that the story is okay. But i's just okay. It's no Uncharted or Assassin's Creed calibur of story arc, rather it just seems to be there to flesh out the game. The script is better in some part than others and the writers seem to come into their own more when dialogue the sons of Nero over any other character like Marius.
