As a Season 1 player, I find the S3 Jungle to be extremely easy. In the past, you had to play a jungle champion, and build into a Wriggles to even stand a chance. You absolutely needed runes, too. But now, Riot has been making it easier, by nerfing the side creeps, reducing potential paths (Now you start Blue/Red only) and adding items like Hunter's Machete.

Now, any champ can Jungle to some degree. What are your opinions, is the S3 implementation better than S1?

I agree that the hunters machette does make jungle a bit easier, but it makes the jungler weaker at ganks, and I think this is the purpose of it. I think it was becoming a problem that certain junglers were able to have a pretty devastating gank early on. I used to play noc in the jungle, and after I got red/blue/wolves I was a higher level than enemy laner, and if they pushed a bit too far, I could go for a good gank.

I still think jungle is still one of the hardest roles to play though
