    [/SPOILER]Shadow RangerComplete the game without killing any Humans unless forced to. The train shootout where the 'darkone' is being held captive I can't get on board unless you kill them all ! but I was told you can't kill them - So playing this area on 'Ranger hardcore' seems like an impossibility , if I want to unlock Shadow Ranger .. Is it true I can't get 'shadow ranger' if I kill them ? Did the developers even think some of these achievements through ?

    The performance right now is below average so getting achievements seem to keep my interest until they come out with a patch for shadow flickering and shuttering . Will I be forced to start over again on an easier mode if I want to unlock 'Shadow ranger' ?[/SPOILER]

    This is something I was wondering too, it seems like it'd be ok to kill the soldiers on this section as you're pretty much forced to.

    True but some walkthroughs are saying you can't killing anyone until D6 and even in that part you can't kill snipers . I hate Achievements like this they make no sense at all .

    I tried but you get insta killed even if you spam the med kits . Can still unlock it by replaying the chapter later on ? Or will I need to play for 9 hours on easy mode to unlock the so called " achievement "

    many achievements today don't feel like ' Accomplished successfully, especially by means of exertion, skill, practice, or perseverance.' They feel more like grinding or using Google to find items .

    I rather see achievements like 'beat the level under' or '20 head shots in a row' things like that .

    I can confirm Shadow Ranger Complete the game without killing any Humans unless forced to. will not unlock if you kill at the train or sniper area ! Seems stupid since you are 'Forced to kill'

    I guess it's a little late for this, but spoiler tags anyway:

    I have no idea how to get past either the train or the snipers without killing anyone. I definitely tried, but without success, so I guess I missed something.

    On the train, you just have to run up and knock guys out. It helps to retreat to the back and regain health for the guys further along. They rarely hit you once you've gotten a certain distance away, so it saves on medkits.

    For the sniper section, soldiers will come and attack you. Knock all of them out. It's best to hide towards the very back, as that cover has metal plating and you can regen health there. You might have to fiddle with your positioning a bit to stop taking too many hits to allow healing. You may also have to sprint out to get some of them to come out and pursue you. You'll know you're done when there are just three dudes sniping above: to the left, right, and directly in front. Expect to use some medkits.

    At that point, you have to move forward and enter the doors that are now open. Best to move quickly. There are two more soldiers there you have to knock out. Now, the guy on the stairs is Pavel, and he can't be killed, so shoot him until he retreats. Repeat until the cutscene. Oh, also, once you've gotten him to retreat and you've made it upstairs, the snipers will vanish, so you can run back down into the courtyard and scavenge supplies

    I was trying to get this achievement on Ranger Hardcore mode and made it to the train just like the OP. I was able to get on the train without killing anyone by using all my medkits. However, I wasn't able to advance very far into the train. Too much gunfire and without medkits couldn't do it. This seems like one that should probably be done on easy difficulty. Not saying it can't be done on the higher ones, but it is a PITA in some places.

    Yup there is no way to do it on hardcore it is impossible . Why the developers did this I have no clue . If you are under fire because it is story driven then you should have a right to fire back without messing with the unlock .

    SPOILER WARNING

    When you reach D6 I was told that is the only place you are allowed to kill and only allowed to kill the fire guy . Such a weird unlock

    I tried not killing anyone until the flamethrower guy and achievement did not unlock for me.

    I was playing on easy so it wasnt that hard but I dont want to reset my progress again until I know wtf this achievement wants from me. Specially the "unless forced to" part.

    You can get the "Shadow Ranger" achievements
    even if you kill them all on the train. It says that you can "Complete the game without killing any Humans unless forced to." so it must mean that you can kill everyone you HAVE to kill. As on the train since they know you're there.

    Except you aren't forced to kill them. You can knock all of them out.

    well it will not unlock since I killed them . Even the part at the sniper area I was forced to kill them . D6 forced to kill them . Only 3 times open fire because I was forced to

    Also some who only killed at the train did not unlock it .

    Might be the same trouble when not getting any other achievements?

    How do you knock them out? They KNOW you're there, so you cant sneak, and as far as I know, you can only knock them out if you are undetected.

    I am playing through on easy mode and I will not kill anyone .... Oh and easy mode is too damn easy ! And yes you can run up to anyone who spots you and knock them out . after my second play going to shoot everyone in the face because I am sick of knocking NPC out ! Time for the badones to die ! Oh and all the homeless men asking for Gold bullets can kiss my ass .
