Should I play Diablo 1?

    I have an old copy of the original Diablo, but I've been putting it off for some time now. I've played Diablo 2 religiously and now I'm into Diablo 3 these days. Thing is I never played the very first game. My friends say it's not needed to play and that Diable 2 is the best of the series by far. I like playing old games to see how much of a difference they were from the sequels and other similar games.

    Anyways, does anyone here even play D1 yet?
