Should Riven be nerfed?

I don't know what you're talking about, Riven is one of the hardest champions to master and it's definitely not easy to learn. You need to know how to use your abilities properly and how to make the most out of your passive, on top of adapting to critical situations since Riven suffers from mobility issues early on.

 

With great powers, there come great responsibility. So far I haven't met a player who have been fully able to master Riven, maybe it is an over powered champion, but only if the player knows how to play it (that can be said about almost every champion out there), maybe Riven is a pain to play against at the pro levels, but at the levels where we're currently at I don't think there's a skilled enough player to utilize it to its maximum potential. So no, Riven shouldn't be nerfed.

 

I don't think so and I think the high learning curve and skill necessary to pull off proper use is enough to make this champion balanced in my opinion. I admit whenever I come across people who know how to use it well it makes me feel like the champion is OP but when I try it myself and can't mow down enemies like I have seen it being done it makes me realize and appreciate how well it was getting played.

 

I think this type of mentality stems from the idea that it is wrong to have functional approaches to the game. Whenever you see someone requesting a nerf, the fact that they didn't ask for other things to be improved to be in line with that level of power is indicative that they just want to take something away from someone else.

 

I don't see why. She's not the easiest champ to play and I don't see why you'd want to rob anyone who spent a long time to master her (like zed). She'll only be nerfed if its appropriate. Don't see it necessary right now

 

I think she's a little too slippery at the moment, a nerf to her dash would be pretty good. Other than that I think she's rather balanced.

 

Yeah, it's pretty tough to master Riven. You need to be an experience player and know his strengths to really play well with Riven. You could say that about most champions, but Riven in particular because of his strengths.

 

Exactly, the more powerful and complex a champion is, the more skills it takes for you to master it, and there are some players who can only master easy champions, as they are not players who can play every position and therefore cannot play a champion to its maximum capacity.

 

yeah I agree it's not necessary at the moment. She isn't exactly an easy character to play with and you do need to learn how to play with her to be effective. I think they'll make the right decision with her.

 

Then I guess you must be a pro in the big leagues or something like that, given that you know how to play "such an over powered" champion.

 

Well there is that reason why Riven players have the highest afk rate. Most think they are a god then give first blood and tilt.

They shouldn't nerf her regen or ult cooldown, but her overall cooldowns and damage. Her DPS is huge compared to other melee fighters and her kit ensures that she can get in and out with least effort. I despise playing against a Riven, simply because I find her shield really overpowered. Seriously, an AD scaling shield, that also has a 200 basic value. That's a lot! She should be nerfed more considerably, not just removing 5 damage from her Q.

 

No, she shouldn't be nerfed. I like characters like her that are hard to master but are complete beasts once you actually do. That usually comes with hate from other players, but more power to the people who take the time to learn to use her properly.

 

I have played Riven like a hundred times and I personally think that no, she should not get nerfed because she already is a champion which you gotta get used to and need a considerable skill level to play her properly, that is my opinion though.

 

That is the main reason she shouldn't get nerfed. She may be a powerful character, but it takes a while to master her skill set. It's not like you can just jump in with her and dominate.

 

I agree. Whenever I hear suggestions like this I attribute it mostly to skilled players making the gameplay seem so easy that it looks like the champion is too good. Sometimes I feel like this too I admit so I try to watch more gameplay and see how it looks like when they lose, so I can make a more balanced opinion.
