Showdown 1v1 and 2v2

I played it last night with friends too, we did it 2 vs 2 and it was really fun, we always ended the game by killing the other team. haha
It's fun but, in my opinion, one for all was way better.

 

I played only 5 games and found it rather boring. Only reason I played it was to get the icon from 3 wins. Tried 2v2 and lost 2 times after which I just went solo with Teemo and obliterated 3 games in a row .
Btw Zac is rather unpleasent to play against in there, so if you have it it's a good champ to do 1v1. He does nice damage and when he dies if you are close to your tower chances are you will survive thanks to the passive.

Btw does anyone have any info on One For All? It was extremely fun and I'd love to play it again don't know why they only kept it available for such a short time...

 

I honestly find it a bit boring, 1v1 especially. 2v2 is pretty fun though if its really close and you get some really tense moments. I personally always take the approach of just trying to burst down the 2 enemy champions and get the kills.

 

To be honest I find 1vs1 more exciting. 2vs2 is more forgiving since you can actually die once, while in 1vs1 if you die it's over.
Btw in my opinion they could've made it to give more IP after each game... At the moment it's ridiculous, it's like 20 points for 5 min game. I guess it's appropriate, but it's Christmas after all they could've made it as a "gift" to us and made it give like at least 50 points per win. That would've been awesome right ?

 

I love this game mode. One for All was fun, but it was stupid and sometimes just completely unbalanced (naturally), Snowdown Showdown is MUCH more competitive.

 

I think it is fun but it is too short. Me and my friend just play Volibear and Udyr. All you do is get the ad and health potion and then you flip them once and stun then someone is dead. Then it got boring because we were winning too much.

 

Showdown was pretty fun. Cassiopeia was probably the strongest showdown champ but she went unnoticed by a large majority of people for some reason. I personally liked the 5v5 same champion mode better, I hope they bring that back!

 

one for all was really good, so much fun and really made a big difference to the game, was funny too when 5 lux characters blast off their ult lol

1v1 was fun, and was quite good at trying to counter other character, but I quickly got bored. Me and a friend used it as a warm up before ranked.

 

1v1 wasn't very exciting for me. I was expecting the modified Magma Chamber map with the two side brushes and no health pickups. Picking a melee champ into a ranged matchup meant you'd get harassed all of early game and lose precious CS going back to heal. Playing champs like Morgana and Malzahar ensured pretty easy wins thanks to Morg's innate spellvamp + pushing power and Malz's ability to 1v1 anyone and push.

 

I'm pretty sad that they're gone now. I found them a lot of fun since it was something i could queue up with a friend in and try crazy strategies. However, the time between queuing up and finding a match as well as champion select felt really long, sometimes even longer than the game itself. If they bring it back they should work on making the pick phase faster.

 

This game mode is so fun because it's quicker then dominion and you don't have to rely on teammates. You can practice your lane matchups here.

 

I hate it. Any game that involves 1v1 2v2 and not a team game I just hate it. I never liked playing single player in any type of games. All the games that I currently play are multiplayer team based games. I only tried 2v2 two times and it wasn't fun at all for me.

 

I love it, it's just the easiest way to get the first win of the day bonus. I like playing 1v1 because I really don't like teaming up with strangers and I like to test my skills.

 

I tried Showdown when it released back in the days. It was pretty cool to play it! The thing is, it's a smaller PVP version. But then there is some speed involved in this game mode. By that, I mean that whoever hits level 2 first can pretty much all in the other guy and take the game. It's a pretty skilled game mode in my opinion, and I'd love for it to come back!

 

I remember trying the showdown gamemode a couple time when it was first released and I can't say it was too enjoyable. It becomes too easy to be one sided but even then, I think Riot did a good job in making the gamemode.
