    Has anyone played Silkroad before? I've always been interested in it but never tried it. I was always afraid it would either be filled with hackers like Knight Online or a pay to win game. Is this game worth trying out?

    I have played it when I was a teenager. I don't really remember much of it but it was the first MMORPG I played. I didn't really understand the concept of it back then but after seeing the screenshots again, I think I will try it again tomorrow.

    I played a little of it years back. The whole game seemed like a pointless, boring grind so I couldn't get into it.

    Delusional, let me know if it has gotten better over time or not. Some older games have gotten stuck in the past but a lot have updated and done well. Rappelz is a good example of that as gPotato constantly updates that game.

    Same here. I did play it back in 2007 and only had my character reach up to level 40 and decided to quit as it didn't really caught my interest for me to continue.

    I played it. Quite a lot in fact. If I may give you a tip, stay away from it. The grind is outlandish, it's literally unbearable. I've only got to level 70 I think over the span of more than two years. Also there's basically zero end game. You play for no goal. It's not worth it.

    I played it for a short time I remember I tried it and it seemed to be an OK game, but I played it for almost a week then I just stopped I don't remember why.

    I tried Silkroad online years ago when I got bored with Lineage 2. But I quickly found out it was not what I was looking for. The grinding was tough and boring, and the players who have the best equipments were paying real cash for the items from item mall. The game is free to play, and it was crowded when I was in there. Not sure how many people are still playing it now. It got boring for me after I reached lvl 30 or so. The PvE part never changed, you were basically fighting the same a few spawns over and over until you level up and move onto a tougher area and repeat the same stuff you just did. The PvP part would only be fun if you are in a large well organized group. During my time there, I have only seen one group of well organized merchants.

    It didn't really seem to be going anywhere, from the reviews that I read.
