    I was thinking how interested would the community here be in a WoW 2.4.3 private server with slightly increased leveling rates, along with a custom instance or two, that's basically bug-free? I'm not trying to advertise any existing server, but back in the day when I was about 14 I did ALOT of work helping to improve the ArcEmu core programming in C++ and did work for several servers in SQL and LUA. I'm just curious as to the current demand of BC server, and if it would be worth my endeavor.

    That would be quite amazing. It is probably the only WoW I would play. That and vanilla wow, post AQ patch.

    I think it can be interesting. A lot of private servers fail because they're not online 24/7 and people tend to go away. Or because they crash constantly because they can't handle the load.

    Mine would be entirely stable. But if not enough people are interested I'm not going to invest the time and resources to have it launched.

    I'd be interested in it, but it would be a large task. Also, Blizzard has been targeting many private servers with law suits recently. Are you sure that's a risk you want to take?

    Burning Crusade was my favourite "era" of WoW so I'm looking forward to finding a private server that can bring back that experience.

    It'd be hosted off-shore, so I wouldn't be too worried. And yes it would be a large task, but I've already started further development due to the responses here. Keep the feedback coming! Makes me work harder. (;

    In that case, I'd be very interested in it if it's close to the actual experience back in BC.

    DO IT! Especially one with a proper and professionally done custom instance. Great idea and many of us have been searching for something like this for a long time.

    I would definetly play, if there would be a bug-free tbc server with a decent community (like at least 800-1000) players online on normal hours. I know it is not easy to aquire such thing for such an old expantion but if someone manage to do that, count me in.

    To be terrible honest with you, I think wow died. I dont see the point of returning to an already known game/world that i have nothing to be excited about. The idea is romantic and all but the reality is that. Also because people fed up with the how unstable the private servers were and are, It's quite unappealing to spend your time only to find that the server went down. Poof!

    Those sort of servers are a lot fun to play and great for nostalgia purposes. I've spent some time on the Molten WoW server and it's absolutely crazy how different the game is from then to now. Especially with how boring WoW is right now, these sort of servers are probably the most fun you can have playing the game if you've been around for awhile

    This seems like it would be an interesting part of WoW to play if it were bug free. Also, you have really good credentials in the areas surrounding the idea you want to put forth. I wish the best of luck to you.

    On one hand, I would love to go back and experience all the stuff I missed. On the other, Privates servers are bad, mmkay. Private severs are a copyright breach that can lead to prison time, mmkay. Don't do private servers, mmkay

    I, for one, wouldn't be really interested. I've been playing on private servers for a long time, and they feel like a completely different game compared to the true, retail experience. Retail feels a bit more natural, it feels like it has a better community overall. Also, I think I'm the only one in the world on this matter, but I hate enhanced leveling rates.
