Since most gaming experiences today are nothing new to many people, it's harder for developers to create a game that truly draw people in and completely enchant them to play the game to the end. MMO games are a dime a dozen and after the first few MMO games that came out in the late 1990's to mid 2000's, many games afterward just feel a bit short of refreshing and great.

Which games over the years have you followed, finally got your hands on and finally after only a few hours to a few days, felt that it just didn't live up to your ideas of fun and enchanting?

For me it was World of Warcraft. After playing the single player strategy games through my childhood, I was extremely hyped when they announced WoW and couldn`t wait to play it. When I finally got it, I started leveling up my toon and had a lot of fun with it. However, WoW`s end game is what made me stop playing. The community on my server was disastrous, and I never got to see any kind of significant end game content that I hoped I would.

To be honest, most of them. The only one I truly found amazing was Helbreath, and this is a really old game from the 90's. I was very young at the time and this was my first MMO so of course it has a special place in my heart. But I really enjoyed it, it was quite simple yet still had features that most modern games still don't have.

Another one which I loved in the beginning was Age Of Conan. It was great, the characters were refreshing etc. But at some point the quests just ran out and I was pretty much forced to grind grind and grind to get a single level which would open up a couple of more quests.. and then back to grind grind grind.

ESO is one from the recent times. As a huge elder scrolls fan, I was pretty hyped for this one but it just didnt click for me.

I can only think of one MMO that really did this and it was World of Warcraft. The game had some amazing times for me and I get super nostalgia thinking back to the old days of WoW.

No opinion is wrong and I think you all have given your ideas which has been disappointing for you.

For myself, I would say I was disappointed with Star Wars The Old Republic. It was good for awhile, but there was little end-game interest and the choices one makes in speech and action, although was an interesting niche, ultimately had little effect besides gear options.

Easily SWTOR. I tried my best to love the game and really get into it when I first bought it. Unfortunately, I think it took my all of 4 days to be bored with the game. I stuck around for a little while to play with RL friends, but I just never got hooked on it like I did WoW. They had such an opportunity to gain a huge following for the game and the devs messed it up.

When it comes to SWTOR, I`m more disappointed in its horrible free to play model. The game is fun and the dialogue cutscenes and overall story is enjoyable. I also like the fact that it has ties to the old Knights of the Old Republic games. However, until they change their current model, I`m not touching it again.
