    Exactly what it says on the tin.

    In Stalkers Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, which Factions did you side with in the wars? Which characters did you help out and which side did you enjoy the most in the game?

    For me it was Monolith. Scar=Charon. xD

    Being a perfectionist and a completionist, though, I've helped everyone, as long as the quests were not mutually exclusive.

    I helped both Duty and Freedom and the loners, which kinda got hard since, with most duty/freedom quest involve killing eachother. Although a bit fun to first kill off a freedom sniper for duty so they can attack their base, then the duty attackers all get wiped out while I run around gving medkits to all I can:D ended with me getting a shitload of loot.

    always sided with the loners. I would help duty and freedom as long as it didn't involve killing any duty/freedomer. bandits/mercs/monoliths/renegades/military I always killed them first and asked questions later.

    Ok I just got "Call of Pripyat" yesterday, and I haven't made it to where you choose factions yet. Or is that even a feature in COP? I'm very confused :/

    You get to choose factions twice in CoP. The first one is in the Barge where you pick either Loners or Bandits, and the second one in the warehouse where you pick either the Freedom or Duty. Or you could take a third and sixth option and take no side. xD

    So does it pop up or is it more subtle than that? I think I shot some stalkers, does that make them hostile to me? :S

    I bought Call of pripyat and Shadow of chernobyl on the christmas sale since my bud bragged so much about the game. I played Shadow of chernobyl for two hours before I gave it up, because I died instantly when meeting three soldiers on the easiest difficulty. I tried over and over like ten times, but never managed, so then I gave it up. never played it since :p

    stalker is all about stealth and tactics. pray and spray never works, believe me. I've played Shadow of Chernobyl at least 12 times, Clear Sky about 7 and Call of Prypiat I'm on my 21st playthrough at least.

    run from fights if you have to, get better equipment and loot dead bodys to sell the loot to the traders. in SoC there is a Mercenary suit in the rookie village. Wolf will give you jobs that gives artifacts as reward, and so does the trader, so you can sell them for a profit and get better weapons.

    In CoP you have lots of opportunities to make money, just by looking for artifacts in anomalies and selling them to Beard.

    imho, I play stalker not to beat the game, but to explore the zone. I can spend about one month in game doing things before even starting the main storyline missions since you can travel to any level except Prypiat without having to unlock it.

    It's more on, which side do you do the missions the most kinda thing. I prefer doing Loner Missions mainly because of Nimble. Been with him since Clear Sky, and not gonna give up on my brodah now.

    ((My first stalker was Clear Sky.))

    There isn't really much tactics to it when I'm walking down a hallway that ends in a T with two soldiers coming from the right hallway and one from the left. No way to have tactics there. Believe me, I tried so unbelievably many times and failed hard.

    The soldiers take the whole space in the hallway. I'd have to get half a meter close to them to run past them, and they kill me with only a very few shots.

    which game are you on, and where are you at the moment? if you got grenades, just peek out of the corner and throw them, that should make short work of them.

    In Shadow, I helped the scientists, mainly because they gave me a nice suit which saved my life on a few occasions!

    I almost always go with Freedom because:
    1) They need my help
    2) I agree with their view on the zone
    3) They're nicer to me
    And in Clear Sky I always enjoyed having a little chat with Ganja after a mission. He's always in a good mood :D

    you can run and gun in shadow its easy lol, but playing stealthy and seeing how far you can get in the bandit base until you get spotted is fun too, also anyone who is looking for good mods for SOC try Oblivion Lost and Lurk i am playing through lurk right now and i think it is a nice change from OL 2.2
