Survival or creative mode?

    Which provides you more fun when building - survival mode or creative mode? Though I can create a lot more awesome things in creative mode, I get a lot more kick and enjoyment and satisfaction when building in survival mode. For me, I feel a better sense of accomplishment in survival mode than in creative mode. What about you?

    It depends. Every now and then I'll play on survival mode if a few friends are with me, but otherwise I'll play on our server in creative and just continue building whatever I was working on last. When you're just trying to build playing in survival is a huge waste of time, plus being able to fly in addition to having infinite items is awesome!

    Survival all the way. It's just a lot more fun with and without friends. Surviving in a small shack the first night can actually be a thrilling experience.

    Survival. Playing in creative mode kind of kills the fun for me. I only go on creative when I am making something that would take a long time to build in survival, such as a town.

    I think that creative mode is not fun at all. For me, the accomplishment of creating something amazing is half from knowing that I had to do all the work to get all of the materials. Without having to get the materials, anyone could have made what I made. For this reason, I feel better about myself in survival mode.

    I find that creative is fun and not fun at the same time. You can get anything that you want but on the hand, it doesn't feel like you earned it.

    I prefer survival over creative. When playing creative, I feel that everything is so easy, and the game isn't fun for me anymore. When playing survival, I actually need to try to get the resources and the game stays fun longer for me. Whatever I build in survival, I worked for myself.

    I prefer building in Survival mode, it's rewarding to look at your magnificent creation after hours and hours of recollecting materials to build it, it's just instant satisfaction!

    I prefer survival, since I'm usually playing the game for the sake of killing things and running around in dangerous places anyway. I'll go to creative to test things like mods or how the game is running, but otherwise, I like to go Bear Grylls all over the place.

    Always survival. Why would you play creative mode? Are you some kind of n00b which is afraid to die? Just kidding, but still... I like mortality, that's usually the only way it makes a game interesting for me.

    I never really liked creative mode. I'm not really a creative person. I absolutely horrible in making houses and such. Personally I like survival games though. So it's survival mode for me.

    In terms of fun, it would be Survival for me. Creative is either for demonstrating a creative build or testing a function. So it offers no actual game play fun factor for me. Survival on the other hand has the challenge of gathering the right materials, build something, improve it over time while trying to stay alive.

    I might pop in to a creative world now and again to quickly figure out how I want to do some build, but Survival is all I really play. It just feels a lot more immersive to me.

    I get why you might want to play in creative mode, but creative mode just doesn't feel like a "game" to me, I might as well just get some legos or use a 3D modelling program.

    I don't know why, but when I'm on my creative map I never have any ideas. But when I'm on survival all I can think of is what to build next. Maybe it's because of the way of acquiring blocks? Survival I have to work for the blocks, while creative I pick and Choose. What about you guys?

    I like survival mode more then creative. It's more of a challenge at times and is more fun when I'm playing with friends. Creative is nice and all, but there's not a lot of work to be done. Everything is just there for you to spawn into your world.

    I prefer survival mode. I find survival mode fun and it provides an exceptional experience of the game. I enjoy games that are challenging.
    Don’t get me wrong sometimes I do enjoy creative mode but survival is definitely my favorite!

    I reckon it's kinda in the name, 'Mine' and 'Craft', neither of which you do in creative mode. Creative mode was kinda added to Minecraft later on to support people who enjoy the building side of Minecraft. Creative is good though :)
