    Tekkit vs Tekkit Classic?

    I just started a private server for me and my friends, and we're running tekkit classic, because we all feel like the new tekkit doesn't work as well as the old tekkit did. In the old tekkit, all the mods worked with eachother and it was all awesome, but the new one feels like it's moving towards generic modpack with all the popular mods that they can get, instead of trying to make everything work together.

    I preferred Tekkit, mainly due to the rail mod and the industrial craft. I'm not sure what mods are commonplace in 2014 but I didn't like the newer ones in the latter half of 2013 like feed the bees.

    I prefer tekkit to be honest.. There's alot of really neat features included in the pack..

    Your not the only one that has that opinion when it comes to Tekkit. I had a few friends try to set up a new server with the updated version and they had a ton of problems. I'm with you I will just keep using the classic version for better performance. Hopefully it's just a few small things that they could fix but I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

    I was playing classic yesterday, and I did notice that you can push players and mobs around (which made it a little awkward to get through the single wide door in our house).

    I really enjoy tekkit but my computer is really slow and it's really hard to run. I'll definitely play it once I upgrade my pc.

    Tekkit is pretty nice and it's definitely more fun than classic.
    I preffer classic though. As you've said, the mods blend much better in the classic version of Tekkit. I don't really like the new Tekkit that much!

    If you don't really use EE, then the new tekkit might not actually be that bad. I only really use BuildCraft, and my friend that plays on the server with me uses IndustrialCraft (and I totally steal all the electricity from him) sd

    I always preferred the new Tekkit over classic. I feel that they have added a lot of new and fun things into it that have made the update worthwhile. Although there are some quirks, the changes are worth it.

    I prefer Tekkit than the classic. I tried to play Minecraft without any mods or anything and I got bored easily. With Tekkit, minecraft became fun to play more than ever.
