Zelda fans, I'm not sure if you heard but the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is getting an HD makeover, and will release on the Wii U on April 3rd 2016. I'm extremely happy to hear this, and I hope more titles get the HD treatment. I've heard that it also comes with an amiibo, which I must admit I'm not super familiar with. Anyone else stoked about this?
I'm happy to see it coming out, but I'm not that stoked because I own - and can still play - the original. The GameCube and Wii versions still look good enough on their own that they don't really offend my eyes. It's cool to see a new generation of gamers getting to play one of the more under-appreciated Zelda titles, though - I don't like Twilight Princess as much as Majora's Mask or Wind Waker, but it's still an awesome game.
After watching a video I really liked the new graphical improvement, everything seems clearer as if they had given more light to some of the darker toned textures. I don't know if it's just me but I thought it was going to be more of a signficant change. Perhaps I would have to wait how the game looks on a TV and not on Youtube but take for example how this guys actually make an old Ocarina of Time look amazing with the Unreal Engine: . Its true that whatever development software Nintendo uses is better but the concept and the overall world feeling looks very elegant in this persons video.
I'll be getting this game with the Amiibo. I don't know when I'll get time to play it, but this will be a thing I own.
To be honest, I can't really be that excited for it, like, I enjoy Zelda games, and I think Twilight Princess is a good game, but this remake doesn't seem to be doing enough to justify the cost. Like, when they ported over Wind Waker, they made some pretty big changes to the overall design of the game that made the game more enjoyable... the changes to Twilight Princess that they're making for this version seem minimal at best.
I've bought it but when I started playing it I noticed that the game is reversed! I was used to the Wii version's map which was flipped because they needed Link to use his sword with his right hand. It's almost like playing a completely new game to me.
Looks like a pretty cool game. I have liked most of the games in this title's series. It just depends.
I'll definitely be buying this when it releases! These types of games have great resale value, so I'm absolutely sure I can play it for a week or two or three for a grand total of something like $10-15! Sounds pretty good to me
