Our Mission
The Masters of the Universe will provide a fun, yet competitive, environment for players to experience Guild Wars 2 in.

Our goal isn’t to become a massive 200+ member guild, but rather to form an elite group of players that fully grasp every aspect of the game. Furthermore, we want to transcend what it means to be a team by providing advice and assistance whenever our fellow guild member seek it out. By doing so, we hope to form more of an extended family rather than a group of people that just happen to play a game together every now and then.

While we do plan to cover all aspects of the game, our main goal is to specialize in PvP, especially the WvWvW that will occur every two weeks to become the ultimate defenders of our realm. We also have plans to organize teams to compete in the pickup, monthly, and annual tournaments.

Roleplaying is an option in our guild, but it is by no means our primary focus or a requirement. Remember: The main point of MotU is to have fun while remaining a competitive force within our realm, if that means a bit of roleplaying for you every now and then, by all means, RP it up (I’m actually a big roleplaying fan myself).


Current Members
In case member play style interests you, or is a deciding factor for you, here are the current ways each of the current members plan to play…

1. Norn Guardian (myself); focus on crowd control and healing.
2. Asura Engineer; focus on defensive crowd control techniques.
3. Charr Ranger; focus on using pets.
4. Charr Warrior; focus on ranged DPS and condition infliction.
5. Sylvari Ranger; focus on DPS.


Recruitment Policy
As I said, we aren’t looking for a massive army; we believe in quality over quantity and are looking for more of a highly skilled team rather than an averagely skilled horde. That said, we don’t want to put an idea in your head that we’re elitists, that’s not our intention.

When looking over recruits, we don’t look for any one specific set of qualities or similarities; we look for the “x factor”, the trait that will bring something unique and helpful to the guild and make you stand out as a Master of the Universe.

If you’re interested in joining, just leave an “application” in a post here. It doesn’t have to be anything overly formal, as that’s not necessarily our style, but be sure to include the following somewhere in the post: expected race and class, combat focus (crowd control, DPS, etc.), past and current MMO’s played, and game play focus (RP, PvE, PvP, etc).
