The most difficult MMO gaming experience

    Almost every single MMO game I've played required knowledge and wit on how to defeat a certain boss or set of obstacles. Some required real-time button smashing and others required the know-how of when to move, when to do something and when to retreat, etc. Of all of the MMO games you've played, which instance/experience of what game did you feel was one of your most difficult gaming experiences to date?

    For me, it was my first 10-person regular mode raid into Icecrown Citadel. Every boss was relatively easy up until Arthas, where we were wiped out more than half a dozen times. It was during Phase 3 of the battle where we kept failing. Mind you, we beat Arthas easily for some reason when we went in a different day with the same difficulty and our group was only slightly more geared. I guess the experience taught us a great deal at the time.

    It might have been in the world of warcraft whilst I tired to level as fast as possible. I even had a slight competition with a friend of mine which one could level their characters faster to 90+ level.

    Some maplestory bosses are really hard. Some if you don't stand in the correct place they can wipe you out in a few seconds! So you have to stay vigilant when you play it!

    This is a tough one. I'd have to agree on some of those Maple Story bosses, though. And grinding in that game took forever.

    Is DOTA considered an MMO? If it is then it's DOTA. Even though the game mechanic is easy enough to understand I never got a firm grasp of it and often times I never get how most people play the game and get to Level 10 in a matter of minutes whilst I've been playing for an hour and I'm still stuck at Level 4.

    Raids are normally really difficult to do to be honest. I love them as they are the true MMO experience that you can't get in single player games. I for one find DayZ to be the most difficult gaming experience.
