As the sun sets on the just in Tiria and the horizon crackles with the clash of battle, one shining unit stands out amongst the chaos. Using supreme discipline, skill and cooperation, we hold fast against insurmountable odds. Like waves against a rock, the enemy washes away.

Origins:
The Ninth Legion was originally created in 2004, and was made with a vision of being top guild when it came to both PVE and PVP. Cutting a path through multiple raiding/PVP scenes, such as Everquest, WoW (Top 20 WW) and SWTOR (Top 15 WW). In each case managing to reach the top tiers of excellence in raiding, with a very competitive PVP element. Meanwhile, the popular first person shooter tremulous began declining, leaving Australia's no.1 clan at the time, Higher Glory, without a home. After some deliberation they joined, hallmarking the start of the Starcraft 2 Legion chapter.

The dawn of a new chapter:
Now, with the anticipation for the release of Guild Wars 2, we have come from every corner of the globe with gaming knowledge from every genre and playstyle, with one purpose. Create a tight-knit, self-supporting community that will take the game seriously, while keeping a friendly atmosphere and having a laugh a long the way. Encourage new members and assistant their progress, while still keeping a focus on the highest standards of game play among the core Legion members.

This new Guild Wars 2 chapter will be active and ready from day 1 to start a whole new level of guild on a whole new level of game. With an already huge scope of different players and playstyles coming back from dominating in multiple other genres, we hope to continue to expand and make this dream a reality. Members of the legion are not restricted by time zone and stretch out right across the globe, from the U.S and Canada to Australia and New Zealand. The main focus of the clan will be on fast and ruthless progress through the pve, pvp and wvw content as a close-knit community. Legion staff and more experienced members are obliged to go out of their way to be friendly with and supp less experienced legion members.

Why should I join?
The Ninth Legion provides to it's members an active website/forums with news articles, galleries and a download section, as well as our very own teamspeak server both serious and casual purposes. As well as this, to be implented with the release of the game we will have in the future guild/raid event planning tools as well as scheduled clan for-fun and cash prize tournaments and competitions.
