So what does some of the long time fans of WoW think, Blizzard's decision to introduce dropping or rare loots to single player campaigns, is a good Idea or bad idea, what about those who had to spend hours farming in 40 player or more campaings, who had to spend weeks hoping and praying for a miracle, that the loot that dropped; if any, fits with your characters spec and race, and when you've invested hundreds in alot of cases thousands of hours bedecking your character in purple, and to now see that its easier, alot easier for younger players to get just as powerful a weapon or armour piece, sometimes even more powerful than yours was, how does it make you feel?

Not sure what version of WoW you've been playing but I never had to spend hundreds of hours to have a complete set of purples. May not have been the highest-end purples but they weren't that hard to get (in some cases I could just buy them from the AH). I mostly solo-play and I love this because it's yet another new content area for me to explore without having to interact with people. :p

It just makes the game easier than ever to get into and make your characters powerful. It's as simple as that. It's just another attempt to make the game more accessible, which is problematic for older players that have been around and actually put in work to get the things they have for their characters.

I personally don't mind that epics are easier to get. I honestly don't like gear grinding unless it's for transmog. However gear doesn't make the average player all of a sudden zomg overpowered or good. If you don't know how to play your class effectively or efficiently, no amount of gear's going to help you when compared to players who know how to play their class. Back in Cata my guild had a mage who was horrible no matter how well we geared him. I could out DPS him in heroic blues by a mile and a half as a Moonkin when Arcane Mage was king. We wanted a mage so badly for the Time Warp but when it came down to it, he was a liability more than asset so we dumped him.

I personally like this change, it lets you have small mini-boosts throughout your leveling experience that help you have an easier time instead of leveling only with green or blue gear.
The high-end purples still exist and are much better so I don't see any downside to this.

In MoP it was fairly easy to get some epics while leveling. I know the very first zone Jade Forest had a rare that dropped a purple crossbow. I think the new random epic from quests is ok. It kinda makes turning in quests a little more exciting.
