    Just curious on people's thoughts about the new Abzats shotgun and its usage. I saw that it's alt fire is six shells at once, an while that sounds cool I imagine using six rounds every time I fire it would cause me to run out of ammo way to quick. Does it actually use all those rounds when you fire it or is the alt considers one shot? Also since I already beat the game and am replaying on HC ranger mode I wondered if it's worth picking up the Season Pass to use for this mode? Otherwise I'll just wait till some of the DLC releases to see if any of its worth picking up. However, I'll most likely be getting it regardless to support 4A an because I F'in love this game. Hands down my favorite game this year. I work at Game Stop an everyone I've convinced to get this game loves it...most are picking up the S.P. too

    It's about as useful, as it was in the first game. That is nothing that can be killed can survive an entire belt.

    So if you were one of the people who used it to kill librarians instead of PUNCHING THEM INTO SUBMISSION like a real man, you'll like it in MLL.

    Unless you play in Ranger mode, in which case use it in semi-auto since you are limited to 50 rounds of ammunition.

    Meh.. I refuse to use it.. not a Metro weapon imo .. prefer my saiga 12.

    Also you dont need it on RH at all... RH is SOOOO easy anyway. :derp:

    Abzats is a mixed package im MLL. It's high rate of fire and large magazine were very useful features in Metro 2033 but they do not shine as much in MLL, mainly due to fact you have Saiga-12 automatic shotgun available that is similar or even better in most aspects.

    Metro wiki also states that Abzats damage per shot is lower than other shotguns in game, which is important if you play on Ranger difficulty where every shell counts. If you are not constrained by ammo, you might enjoy its 6-shells-at-once fire mode but it is major waste of ammo (Ranger normal let you have 60 shells, in other words 10 full-automated salves from Abzats) because nothing you commonly encounter in MLL requires such firepower apart from bosses.

    Reality is Saiga-12 does everything Abzats can just better. Even Shambler in MLL with its simplified/improved reloading is sufficient. I prefer Shambler with extended barrel because it makes for very reliable mid range weapon with great punch.

    I did a small test when I started hardcore play-through in the Armory shooting range. Both Shambler with extended barrel and Abzats were able to 1-shot armored figurines at max distance when aiming for head. Shambler was able to do it a bit more reliably but it is only my observation from limited amount of shots, probably due to extended barrel.

    What? You kidding me, I haven't got it, although maybe because I never put the volt down. :lol:

    Is that the gun you find after the Blacksmith saves you and is in that room, just before you can buy the stealth and heavy armour suit?

    I bought the season pass and it's available in the base game too. Go to the weapons range and you can collect it with all other DLC guns (RPK, AK74U)

    I lol'd. Anyhow, I did know the automatic machinegun is in the original game upon buying the season pass, but I only knew you'd get it in the diseased station, not that you could get it in Sparta Base. :)

    isnt it a heavy assault automatic shotgun?

    honestly, the way it looks, reminds me on these AA type machineguns to take down aircraft flying low.
