As everyone knows, Xbox One receives Advanced Warfare updates for a month before other platforms receive the same DLC packs. What's your opinion on this matter? I don't mind, considering it's been done for years now with past CoD games. I'm sure owners of other consoles aren't that happy about it, though.

I actually hate that. I think everyone should just get it at the same time. I don't see how that benefits anyone to be honest. Does Microsoft actually believe that people will buy an Xbox One to get DLC a month early?

    Short answer: yes.

Microsoft lists this as a 'perk' of owning an Xbox One. You get access to content before anyone else does. My guess would be that it is effective, since they are still working out contractual deals with the developers.

I despise this practice, along with the practice of making PC gamers wait over a year before a game is released for the PC. I don't buy that they have to port anything over; consoles these days are not much more than a proprietary PC.

It's complete bullshit. It just goes on to show that they like completely selling out to Microsoft. I wouldn't be so opposed to it if in that month of delay for Playstation and PC, they would fix the bugs, but no! PC and PS get the same bugs Xbox got!

Yeah, exactly. We're literally just waiting an extra month for no reason. It's not like we're getting a better version or anything, it's the same exact thing.

As a PC owner of the game I agree that this practice is really poor of them. Well, it's just another reason for me not to buy an Xbox One anytime soon.

Eh, I'm just looking forward to Exo zombies DLC and future DLCs related to zombie mode since that's more fun.

Not like we're getting a better version? Hell, we're always getting a shitty port, which always feels and plays like an afterthought. It's like they always meet one day before launching the game and think "Okay, so we developed this game for all consoles, did we miss anything?"

    "How about PC?"

"Oh shit, get some poor third party company working on that port immediately. And make sure to tell them not to do a good job on it, we don't want more people playing on PC than on Xbox, remember our contract with Microsoft?"

To be fair, Microsoft isn't the only company with these types of deals. Sony has done the same thing with a couple of companies.
