I recently have started playing this game and am really enjoying it. The thing I am noticing though is that it takes forever to level up and get better items. It was fast at first, but even now when I am not a high level, nor have good gear; It still takes forever to do anything. This is alright for somebody who has a lot of time or really likes the game; but I am somewhere in the middle. I don't know how much time to spend on the game. Do you guys think that this game is too time consuming?

It is VERY time consuming, it's a korean MMO. It makes you grind until you're out of labor points, you then either buy Labor pots with money or gold. 1 tip is to get in to a decent guild.

Every single MMO game I've ever played since the beginning of time has been time consuming. Even though WoW has dumbed down the game because of the mass whiners and to appeal to the impatient, it still takes time to gear up and get your professions to a level you can actually use optimally.

With that said, there are many ways to level up. Considering you can buy packs to boost your overall gaming experience, I'd say you need to look at some guides and possibly buy into their Patron status to get some aid.

It's really time consuming but I expected it from playing the Alpha. I bought the founder's pack and got up to level 45. I gave up at that point because I knew that everything was going to get wiped anyways. I really burnt myself out by playing so much in the Alpha and I haven't really played much on live recently.

In the end, it's all about how time consuming you make it, whenever I get on now I just get on to harvest my trees and replant them, just using up labor points.

What else were you expecting from an MMO? The point of these games is to take a long time in order to get the real rewards. It's not a quick process, and that's part of what most people like about the game. You can't just jump in and hope to be better than veteran players.

Given that it's a MMO, and a korean one at that, it's very grindy, therefore it takes up a real lot of your free time. If you want to start playing this game for good, say goodbye to your GF, parents and friends, because you're gonna be playing it a good while.

    ^ This.

Like most MMO's, and Korean MMO's, this game is time consuming, and you will likely end up spending some real money. However, it can be rewarding. Like troutski posted, putting in hard work makes the rewards more enjoyable. It gives a sense of achievement, after hours grinding :)Don'

Don't listen to the other posters when they say that you will literally have no life, because that isn't true. Just be patient, and eventually you'll get there. However like you said, you will likely have to spend real money.

If you've already spent the amount of time you want to in this game, then perhaps find another MMO? There are other MMO's with similar combat and PVP elements, that need less grinding.

Might just be me, but I didn't find it that time consuming. The trick is to try different things to level. I personally got bored with questing after level 44. So I bought a few labor pots and vocation tonics, and crafted my way to level 50. And as a bonus, I had good crafted gear (Arcane/Heroic) :D

For me the pace seems like every other Korean MMO I've played. Their games tend to lean more towards hard work for better reward, rather than minimal work for okay reward. Every MMO requires some time invested, though. If you're short on time I think that MMO's would be very frustrating :( most of the best items in any MMO require grinding and farming and the whole nine yards.

Well, yes, most MMOs require a lot of time to get your toon to end-game. I just don't enjoy the labor point system as it requires me to play/stay online in the game just to be able to do things like crafting or mining. Obviously there's a lot of guides to keep the time you spend on this game to get to the max level to a minimum extent but I do believe that it requires you to buy the subscription.

Every MMO require a lot of time, but if you like it and want to play it you'll find the time you need. You are not forced into playing it by anyone, so if you want to spend your time any other way there's nothing to keep you from that. Personally I wouldn't play this game on my free time, there are better MMO's, but this is only my opinion.

I played this game for some time now and I agree with you that it is really time consuming. I played a lot of other MMOs out there and I think that this is one of the most time consuming games that I played. But I like this game, so I think that it is worth it. I think that if you invest some more time than you really want into this game it can reward you with some really good gear and items. You just have to work a little more than in any other traditional western MMO.

Well it's a MMO what do you expect? To play MMO's you need to constantly give attention to it in order to get the best experience of the game, if you want to get into MMO's but don't have the time then sadly MMO's are not for you.

That's kind of the definition of an MMO vs a more casual game.

Yeah, as ariana said and as I said above, all MMO are time consuming, but I kinda believe this one is totally worth it. It depends on you if you think so or you know better games which you might spend you time on.
