That's pretty surprising, IMO Li Ming is still an incredibly overpowered hero.

 

The way this came to be is actually rather worrying too. Tracer seems like she just came out in a really terrible state only to continue with the deadlines that had to be met by Overwatch rather than a polished and well tested Hero.

Same can be said for other MOBAs that seem to push new Champions/Heroes like candy, but the fact that an entirely different game in some way or another alters the ecosystem for Heroes of the Storm is such a weird approach.

I for one wish to see if this becomes a trend with future releases, and whether the response time on the outliers like Tracer will show Blizzard's compromise to treat this game as any other competitive MOBA title.

 

Li Ming is over the top in my opinion. I always thought she would easily top the list. I knew Tracer was tough, but pretty surprised she was the most banned.

 

This is surprising to me too. I'm sure there is reason for teams banning tracer more nowadays but for me I'd almost always still just pick li Ming. Maybe I just need to play more to find out the reason for this sudden shift.

 

I just wish we didn't have to resort to banning characters to make the game fairer. If they're broken in some way I would expect a patch of some sort to be their highest priority so it can be balanced again. It sucks for people who like Tracer, but I guess this won't change anytime soon.

 

Once again, Blizzard releases a new hero that is overpowered. It's a good way to grab some money from customers! I assume Tracer will get toned down a little in the future as currently she is just so damn hard to kill.

 

I do think Tracer is overpowered. Combining all her abilities and attacks, she is almost a perfect assassin, overthrowing all other heroes in the same niche as her. Unlike other characters where you have to be careful where you place them in the game, Tracer can actually be placed anywhere easily. She can attack while moving and she has recall.

All these makes her an unfit hero to the game. Now, if they can nerf her a bit and make her more balanced, she can still be a playable but not too strong character. However, it's the way she is designed that makes her a dangerous hero character. They can change the numbers and tweak her all they want but she's still got these mad skills that no other character has.

 

The recent patch did a pretty good job of leveling the playing field. Yeah she still has those amazing skills but lowering the basic attack damage made her a little less dangerous and lowering the hp kinda made it possible to kill her somehow!
