    Hmm, this is really weird. I don't know why they did this since it was actually really useful for the people that stream on Twitch. It must have been something that bugged certain aspects of the game.

    Why would they ever remove a full-functional feature? Even if it didn't get much use, chances are that SOMEONE used it. It's really stupid, and I could only see removing a feature as a logical move if the feature was flawed or it provoked more bad than good.

    To me it's not really a big deal. There are plenty of streaming services available for free and that are much better than the integrated streamer in Minecraft. The first one that comes to mind is OBS and that works wonderfully without costing you a penny.
