uh.... how do I check how much ammo I have left on ranger?

When you're playing on PC, it's probably T for checking ammo of the gun you're holding, filter, etc

Btw, thanks for the little spoiler :eek:hwell:

Removed the "spoiler", you realise this spoiler is present in the metro 2034 trailer but oh well.

Thanks but pressing "T" does nothing for me. You're suppose to check visually the magazine feed like you did in 2033. If they did indeed this feature then it was a seriously bad call.

? I played metro 2033 on ranger, the whole point of this mode is NO HUD. I'm talking about ejecting the magazine and visually verify how many bullets you have left, that's hardcore, no hud no nothing.

This was present in original metro 2033.

If they removed this feature then it makes no sense what so ever. I know many bullets each gun holds since I own most of them my self, but that's really not the point.

    Thanks

I never watched the last trailer because of spoilers :p , but it isn't a big deal.
Forget that thing I said about the magazines, I was wrong about that.

Maybe M for the journal, in Metro 2033 you could also see all your bullets.

I haven't Last Light yet (Europe), so I can't do more than this.

EDIT: Are you talking about that animation showed in the Ranger survival Guide: Part 2? I Thought that was something Artyom did when the player doesn't do anything.

No problem bro, I understand. No i'm talking about metro 2033, where the player ejects the magazine so he can visually see how many bullets he's got left. The point of ranger hardcore is to remove HUD, but why would they completly take away a vital function from 2033.

Maybe it's still there on normal/ranger, i'm not sure.

A quick google search shows me there's a few players on neogaf/pubarticles who's wondering the same thing.

Wait... maybe i'm mistaken about this one..

It's been a long time since I played metro 2033. Maybe I was thinking about when you exchange regular ammo with military grade?

If so sorry guys, I must have had a brain freeze :p

    :(

I really would have liked that function, would have made the game even more immersive.

umm there is only an idle animation where he counts the bullets in the mag, not any actual ammo check you can use.

Man that sure would have been a handy little thing, like instead of checking your watch for filter time, you could check your mag for how much ammo is loaded. Handy little animation for Ranger HC.

    Agreed

    Yeah my bad :pop2:

That's a true classic, too bad the sequel ended all hopes for a 3rd game :)

Yeah just imagine the nice feeling of checking the magzine when you're terrified of what's around the corner :D

This is what makes STALKER+mods a great experience.

Back to the game, thanks though guys for helping out.

Hope you get your copies soon :)

Yeah I've been wondering the exact same thing. In 2033 Ranger Easy you could just check your watch and it'd bring up your hud showing how much ammo you had. Ranger Hardcore didn't have this, but if you checked your journal it would show your hud that way to see your ammo. Last Light only shows your MGR when you hold your inventory button, but how am I supposed to see how many bullets I have for my weapons???

  17. You could check your ammunition by looking at your wristwatch in Ranger Hardcore in M2033. Now you have no way of checking.

though by preserving ammo and not spray-pray everything one should be able to keep a decent check of bullets in the mag.

But still, it ticks you soo much not knowing how much ammo you have even if you know you have enough of it.

I'm also playing on regular ranger mode and i seriously can't find anything noticing me how much ammo i have on my weapon. The closest thing for info is by pressing TAB and it shows you how many throwing knifes, nades etc. i have, even the military grade bullets are there in the top right corner (i mean i assume they are since it shows an ingot in front of a bullet), but it doesn't show you how many regular ammo you have for your guns.

And its not even ranger hardcore, they could at least show you a number on your wrist watch or something... oh wait... your wrist watch actually has your real world time displaying.

So far only when you're in a market buying bullets do you see how much ammo you have.
