The strategy seems a little extreme, couldn't they just shoot them or inject them with something? Seriously...

I guess you have to look at hy they're doing it. If there are hundreds of mongrels on the streets with no owners, fair enough. If some are rabid or sick, it might be safer to get rid of them. But yeah, their methods...

I think blaming the tournament and wanting it removed is the biggest load of shit I have yet experienced.
However, this mass murder is completely out of scale, basically a brutal extermination, but I don't see how it has anything to do with football. And, as Von said, they had to kill off alot of them, but they should never be burned alive :(

it has to do with football, but it's so sick, just for the tourists to be happy they had to kill 80.000 dogs and soon to be 250.000 this is horrible and not civilized.

Yeah, we don't live in towns which have 250000 roaming dogs on the streets. Their viewpoint is probably heavily influenced by that. But yes, methods need to be less cruel, it's plain wrong.

I'm not really sure how to comment on this. I don't like mistreating animals but I am ignorant to the current situation in the region and how many wild dogs there are. If its really become a problem then something needs to be done, but in a humane and safe way. Its not realistic to find homes for all these stray dogs...

I'm not sure exactly what to do.

~ After watching that video twice, the video has been tampered with. Sounds have been inserted into the video overlapping. They insert dogs crying, its CLEARLY an audio track overlay. Most likely help create sympathy in people.

It sounded like he said, "Poo is to blame, poo do we point our fingers at?"

But besides that this is completely f***ed up. What an ass way to get rid of all the stray animals

To me, football is 11v11 players trying to get a ball into each other's goals without causing severe harm to each other. All the organizational matters, like these brutal killings, could just as well have happened in the Olympic Games, or even a cycling race. So I still don't see how football is involved.

Removing the dogs is not necessarily a bad thing, but doin it so brutally is completely necessary. What I'm honestly thinking more about, is the video itself. Using Requiem for a dream is just way over-doing it.

Is it necessary to use brutal methods? I think you have miss-formulated there, or you are just an animal abuser :/

And I agree with you about Requiem for a dream, it's way over used.

Haha, I meant 'completely un-necessary' :p Sorry about that.
I feel like a heartless person when all I do when I see this movie, is being annoyed at the use of that song. Lol.
