Underground rail

    Has anyone here tried to create a subway system? I made one once which has only 4 stations and 2 lines and I've seen some on Youtube too. This is just a personal pet project I like to integrate into all of my minecraft worlds.

    Mine has about the same number as yours. I did it and connected everything underground. It literally took me a few weeks to accomplish what I wanted with all my important stops. I have it going through a few mountains and finally ending up in an underground mine. I like using the system because it allows you to have almost immediate access to what you need in the game.

    Mine also probably took a few weeks. I was hoping to have around 20 stations eventually but it just took up so much time and I put the whole project on ice indefinitely. It is very rewarding though even having just 2-4 stations.

    I've never been bothered making one as it was simply too much work as making a railway underground would mean I would have to clear out a lot of land before I could even start the hard work. I figured it would take too long, but I still love playing on other people's servers.

    Yes but it takes a lot of effort I think. Nothing you do in one day. But after it feels good, the feeling of acomplishment.

    This was actually one of the first things I have created in the game. I didn't do it by myself. My friends were actually doing this when they first invited me to play and I helped them finish it. It took almost three months to complete and it wasn't nearly as perfect as we had hoped for. But it was fun for sure.

    Sounds like an awesome idea, I've personally never bothered to make a railway system because it was just a bit of a hassle to do all the excavation and then start the construction but I think I'll do it just for the hell of it, sounds kind of fun and rewarding to travel like that underground to all the places you need.

    I never made underground rail station but it looks interested to build it. Maybe some time in the future, I'll probably build it.
