After all of this time I still run into frequent bugs. Do you think it's because the developers have given up on bugfixing considering that skyrim is aging?
I think so I mean they are working hard on ESO so bug fixes are not on the list of priorities I am sure.
yeah it's just like any other game with bethesda. They're big and there is always going to be bugs. It's a pain, but most of the time they aren't too bad.
I have been stuck numerous times. Really stuck where I couldn't get out of a specific place. It's normal with such a large world but it really sucks to have to load the game from a previous savegame.
unless you are on consoles. I would pull up the console and use the coc "place" command. That's what I do anyway. It doesn't happen as often as it used to though..
Yea I have noticed there are quite a few bugs that have been left un-fixed since the last update. Occasionally, I have to restart the game because my follower wont stop talking. I might just reinstall the game and see of it still happens.
most of the bugs can be worked around but i still run into frequent bugs that stall the games at times, i wish they would fix it though
thats partially it perhaps, and Skyrim is such a massive game and so intricate, that all the problems it has simply cannot be accounted for.
Most of the bugs have been fixed either by the official patches, or game fixing mods that are freely available. Just search for them and install them, your game should run smooth afterwards.
I don't think they will be focusing on bug fixes now. I mean, the game is indeed pretty old now. But the good thing is there are no game shattering bugs, not that I've experienced yet. But some of the bugs are quite useful.
Unfortunately, once the game sales run their course and fall off a certain frequency, the developers start pulling people off the teams and put them elsewhere for optimal development. Many of the bugs that are still around will most likely never be patched up. There aren't going to be any further expansions to the game, so the interest to continue patching it up is no longer a focus.
