As the title of the thread says, in skyrim - you can glitch out enchantments, the enchantment that I'm talking about is the one that either "Makes enchants % stronger" Or "Makes potions % Stronger". Basically, what can you do is glitch this, and instead of making normal enchants - you'd do the same enchant. You just have to keep enchanting, and the percent will go up. For example - Gloves give +20% stronger enchantments, wear it and re-enchant the gloves with the same enchantment - basically making it like.. +25% stronger enchants.. You can do this how many times you want, and in the end have gloves that give +1000% enchant strenght, then enchant a weapon that will deal like, extra 1000 damage or something. It's really overpowered, what do you guys think about this? Does this ruin the game or if you don't abuse it make it more fun?
How could it ruin the game? It's up to you if it will have any effect at all. Haven't used it and didn't even know about it, however I would most definitely not have touched it. I like my games the way they were meant to be played.
There's no fortify enchanting enchantment, unless you use mods. And yes, most mods ruin the game if you didn't complete it yet. The only way to do this, is to enchant armor with fortify alchemy, create an enchantment+ potion, drink the potion and repeat. I heard there was a fortify enchanting enchantment during development, but it got removed.
Uhm, it does work. What the OP said, it works. I've tried it and made my main save character absurdly overpowered, which not only destroyed the fun, but it just got plain boring. I wouldn't suggest this, but it definitely is fun to fool around with. Anyways, they fixed this "glitch" with the unofficial skyrim patches made by the community (highly recommended for a smoother experience, minus the fact that some benefiting glitches have been removed ).
I am not a fan of using exploits enchanting by itself is overpowered in my opinion unless your playing on legendary.
You know, Bethesda actually said they did not patch this on purpose because it is up to the players themselves whether or not they want to abuse this power. Like I said above, the Unofficial Skyrim Patch fixed this exploit.
I guess you're right. But somehow knowing that I'm not using this shit efficently is really bothering. If I know I can achieve great power, regardless of difficulty - I'll reach for it! Though I guess it's something I just have to avoid :/
I consider these glitches as cheats and therefore I refuse to use them. They are not meant to be there, it's a mistake that gives you unfair advantage.
I did it at first, but I would reccomend not to, you could literally break the game, the value gets so high it becomes negative, and crashe everytime you try to play.
Can someone confirm this works? I have never seen a fortify enchantment enchantment. I think it's a hoax unless you use mods.
I think this trick works with Smithing, not Enchanting. Not sure if it still works after the patches, but I saw people forging swords that could one hit kill a dragon. Not that you would need such power anyway, once you hit level 60, and have good legit equipment, nothing can challenge you.
I have heard a bit about this tweak before but never got the full details on how to actually do it. I personally wouldn't do this little hack/cheat. It takes out the fun in leveling up for me.
