Well, let's say something like SAO happened and we could play virtual reality games in regards to the way the system from the anime allowed them to play. How many of you would be willing to play a version of World of Warcraft, even if it meant getting stuck in there?

I've dreamt for years of getting to play WoW in something like the Holodeck from Star Trek. With full safety protocols on, of course (I don't have any desire to feel what it might feel like to get slashed with an axe, tyvm). I just think it would be fun to dress-up, explore the world of Azeroth, and take out big scary monsters.

Wow, that's crazy to think about! Imagine being able to fly over Azeroth on our flight mounts... delve deep into dungeons and discover incredible creatures. I wonder if murlocs are insanely annoying, like pests. I bet it'd get old fast having everybody in the world asking you to do things for them, though, haha.

I wouldn't do it for WoW, mainly because I haven't played it because I have to pay every month. I just don't feel like investing all that money which meant I would have to invest a lot of time to equate the investment of the money just to play a game that requires me to pay. I would much rather play a real Sword Art Online game instead.

Virtual reality doesn't necessarily mean investing a lot on money on a new system just to play one game. It could be something like the occolus rift where you get a 3D experience for one price (the actual console) but then again you would still have to pay for WoW membership, it would be worth it though, definitely.

I have to admit though, a Sword Art Online game would be damn awesome!!

You'd probably never see me again in the real world again haha. An SoA version of WoW would be too addicting to get away from. I mean as far as MMOs goes, WoW has the most to offer content wise. Leveling would probably be less boring as a VR format versus what it is right now haha.

I'd rather not get stuck in WoW. I'm perfectly okay living a normal life outside of video games. It's an interesting idea, though.

Wow yeah something like Sword Art Online would be so awesome! I was actually watching it yesterday :p. Anyways if there was virtual reality in WoW it would make the game experience 1000% better in my opinion all because of one word, Immersion!

Oculus Rift VR wouldn't work too well with WoW. It would give you a pretty bland experience. Just think about that. ;]

Would be pretty cool to try... ´hey Garrosh.. you are a green cartoon man...´ I think the best part of any VR experience would be flying. wouldn´t have to be WOW at all.

The VR would be amazing for sure, but the core of this question to me is "Are you willing to risk your life with the chance of being stuck in the game?"

Personally, I would love it. Games that carry huge risks are more exciting by nature. They require the person to actually understand the situation by nature. Since the "risk" is your life, that gets compounded tenfold. It would bring a new dynamic to the game.

The game wouldn't just be an escape anymore. You would have to live it. What type of gamer are you? Would you risk it? Go out and adventure, learn, and grow or just sit in town all day and minimize that risk? I would be out there pushing my boundaries.

This question is actually very thought provoking. Imagine how peoples personalities online differ from the real world. It would be an amazing way to truly study human nature, without the error in data you get when people know they are being studied.

Although I don't feel there will every be any real risk of this happening, I would be all for it if the time came.
