Was there ever a point where you fell off of minecraft?

I played minecraft ever since it was just trees and flat land. I have watched it evolve into what it is today. Though at some point among-st all the updates and new features it became a little over whelming.

I fell off when they added anvils, and potions. I was too lazy to figure it out and all of my friends were only focusing on those so I fell off the minecraft bandwagon. I play it from time to time but never religiously.

I've never fallen off from Minecraft, but I've slowly reduced my playing time over the past few months. The game is still fun, but I've got other things to do, and other games have come out that are worth playing.

Yeah I never completely quit but I did the same thing as you. I got overwhelmed by the complex new features and just either stuck to the old ones and reduced my play, or didn't bother learning the new updates.

Yes, I have. I just got bored of it, to be honest. Nowadays, I rarely play the game myself, but I still enjoy watching famous Youtubers play. They make it look so interesting! But whenever I play, I just get bored instantly.

That's probably around the same time I fell off, simply because I began getting bored of it. I came back a while after, but I still have never made a single potion in survival mode.

Not for more than say a month. It depends on what new title I picked up and how fun it is. I always have my fall back games and this is one of them for me.

I kind of went on a hiatus for about 2 months and just recently came back to the game, but I haven't been able to get back into it like I used to be. At one point I was playing for hours upon hours a day, now I just play for a half hour to an hour to kill some time.

I still love it and though I never played Minecraft from the very beginning, I see you point. The game went from very basic, to a bit advanced over a short amount of time. Change is good, just remember that. Adding new stuff to the game is a big process.

I haven't played for over a year. I still watch many videos of famous youtubers online as they traverse through patches and updates, dungeons and bosses; the game just lost a lot of suitability for me. I used to play for many, many hours on end with my friends on our own private server, but the endless patches after the "official" Minecraft 1.0 seemed overwhelming. It probably is, no doubt, a better game than it was when I quit, I just don't think I want to take the game on again.

Yes. When all this mods came out I was just bombarded, I don't where to start. Also Minecrafts novelty kind of wore off of me lately and I wasn't really enjoying it as much as I did back then.

I fall off quite frequently, but then come back and play for a little bit of time.

I never had large periods where I played consistently. I usually get the urge to play it now and then.
Whenever it happens I play a lot for few days and then I fell off the game again. When a new update comes out I check out everything asap and it helps me to keep playing.

I've just taken breaks from Minecraft, I have never thought about fully quitting.

Of course, everyone has those moments. I still pick it up every now and then but it's a lost a lot of its luster.

I can't really say I fell off, I just got a little bored after a long time playing. I was never overwhelmed because the stuffs that get added are the same things we get from other RPGs. I'm glad that it evolved with more features rather than sticking to the very vanilla version of the game.

Yeah I'm kind of getting tired of the game right now to be honest. If not for the mods I think this game could've have not lasted for many years to be honest.

I've just taken breaks from time to time, but never more than 1 month. This game is simply amazing :) I'm the type of the person who gets bored easily but I can't seem to stop playing Minecraft haha.

Yeah, once horses came out. I really started to leave the game because horses were just too much. I started playing less from that point but I still had fun from when I bought it in beta!

Definitely. I've played Minecraft for years and a lot, but every few months I always just stop. I've definitely gotten past the point where I work on a singleplayer world, that bores me to death now and I can't spend over a few minutes to mess around on a singleplayer world. I usually only come back to start a life on a server, play a modpack with friends or experiment, but when I do, it's for weeks and months on end.

I got to the same point when they started adding all that stuff constantly. I'm with you in the too lazy to want to figure it out boat. The other time I quit was when I played for a few months straight and just couldn't take it anymore. When I get hooked on a game I rarely play anything else and I get burnt out pretty fast. I came back when I decided to start playing on the online servers. After that my interest started to pick back up again.
