    If you were to live in the Warhammer 40000 Universe, what race would you pick?

    i'd personally go either with the Imperial Guard or the Tau, since the first is composed of simple man thrown in the monstrousity of the Universe, and the latter are a very understanding and loyal people.

    The Mechanicus are different because their allegiance is to the Machine God, not the Imperium per se. They only help and assist the imperium because the IG need transport and equipment and by imperial decree they're obligated to help.

    Also, the Adeptus Sorroritas are counted as humans in armor.

    Definitely the Tau for me. They are a very fascinating people, with an interestingly structured society. I hope that some day they'll get a worthy video game that expands their lore and explores more of what they are like. I know there were games that the Tau were in, but none of them were mainly about Tau (apart from Fire Warrior, which I heard is quite average but have not played myself).

    Indeed. What really amazes me is that, although surrounded by chaos and violence, they still manage to keep a very open mentality, and thus accept any individual/faction willing to join them and accept their ideals.

    Also, they have a social structure that is kinda near to Plato's Communism.

    I've heard some things about non-violent brainwashing, such as controlling those who would not follow and/or showing them the ways telepathically, through the Tau leaders. So it's far from my type of communism, but it is still interesting and possibly much less cruel than the entire rest of the Warhammer 40K universe.

    Tau aren't really 'Less' cruel, seeing as they themselves are spineless hypocrites who'd gladly leave their allies behind so long as it serves the greater good. Sure, it has a better face than the Imperial Guard, but under that skin and armor, they're just as bad as the Imperium of Man or the Eldar for that matter.

    By far, the 'least' monstrous and evil and cruel thing in the whole universe is the Emperor with Eldrad Uthran being a close second. But even then, they're both idiots. Mainly because the Emperor didn't heed Eldrad's warning of chaos, and Eldrad was an asshole to have spoke in cryptic words of warning rather than saying that Chaos was out to get them outright.

    In other words, what I'm saying is: Everyone in the Warhammer 40k is an idiot. Yes. Especially him/her/it.

    Well, yeah, good point. That's more or less what I meant - that it is better on the surface, but still not "nice" because of the brainwash and stuff. Still, I'd say that makes them better than the other factions, but that's just my opinion. :)

    Then again, there are also the Orks... who are so primitive and dumb that they aren't really that evil, just cruel brutes. I'm pretty sure they would be (in some aspects) better than the Imperium or Chaos, as both of those have schemes. :lol:
