What am I missing?

I have been debating this game for a while now, but I know you can play on the computer or a console. Which is better? Do we have anyone that has played on both? I would like to know which seems like a better option because right now I am ready to take the leap but I am not sure which way.

I think it just really depends on what you have the money for. If your computer is good to go and won't require upgrades, I'd go with that option. I don't really enjoy MMOs on consoles. It all depends on your style and comfort, though.

I totally think that if your computer can handle it, go computer. I don't like consoles so much for this either. But sometimes a good console is better than a lagging computer, you know? ;)

Amen to that. There is nothing I hate more than lag. I spend entirely too much money on regular upgrades. At this point, it would probably be cheaper for me to just switch to console only, but I'm set in my ways.

Right? Doesn't lag drive you nuts? I hate it even in everyday computer tasks, but when I'm playing it just makes me more frustrated than ever. If I want to play, I want to PLAY, not sit around waiting for my computer to catch up!

Yeah, I've a sucker for a good video card. Nothing makes me more livid than repeated crashes because hardware can't keep up. There are many pluses to PC gaming, but lag and crashes are my hangup.

You can play it on a computer that has a large monitor and a good graphics card. In the absence of a graphics card the game may lag a bit and you will not be able to enjoy the experience. If you use a console you need not worry about lagging or other issues that you may face on a computer.

I completely surmise that if your machine can deal with it, go workstation. I dislike reassures such a great amount for this either. However at times a decent reassure is superior to a slacking workstation...

I will go for the console, once u have it you don't need to think of any upgrades. Plus, you will enjoy and get rid of repeated crashes.

It doesn't make any sense to play this game on consoles. Never eve do it for your own sake. It has gotten to many issues on those platforms. PC, on the other hand, is the best place to play an Elder Scrolls game. Go for it.

It played just fine on my computer when I did the Beta. Granted, it was the Beta and it was buggy, but not because of game \ hardware incompatibility. I would like to play ESO, but the price has got to come down before I do.

I think skyrim fits more on the computer. Easier modding options is pretty important.

I think MMO's are typically better on the PC. The graphics are typically better and more dynamic and there may be mods available for the game.

I would go with the PC. The graphic capabilities will be stronger on the PC and there will be a lot more users there. Besides, the controls on a computer are way better than the console.

I would love to hear comments from console users who are currently playing or test it. The big thing for me is just the controls. With a PC, you have a lot more options as far as configurations and how well the UI responds and how quickly you can get to the things you need.

If you want the ability to mod, I would use a desktop. I personally like using a console so that I can chill on the couch.

I like that this is completely true for the game, even months later.

I would say PC. You can use Addons (mods). You have more hardware options and upgrades available on a computer..

Its a shame there is nothing new to add to the MMO genre in this game. Just wait till it goes F2p. It most likely will considering the dwindling player-base even after the subscription model was modified. Aside from all that the game is still in someways relatively new, hopefully there is an interesting expansion pack on the way that will improve the gameplay to the point I find it worth returning for.
