I think there is something that we can learn from every game.
(That's why I like playing different games!)
So, did you guys learn anything from Minecraft??

Dunno, but children and teens, whose minds are still developing, can literally learn countless things from Minecraft. They can learn to express their creativity, solve problems, and how to build things. It's a great game as far as learning is concerned.

In addition to generic creativity, you can actually get a lot of experience with leadership. On Minecraft servers, there are staffing teams and forums that offer high positions. You can definitely set the example as a staff member and facilitate the community by leading.

From Minecraft I guess you could explore your imagination. People can build huge castles, homes, mansions and other magnificent structures if they are imaginative and creative. People who are artistic could benefit from Minecraft as well, for the same reason.

Oh, and you can also learn how to get really angry when a creeper blows you up during something important or blows up your structures that took forever to build (in survival, of course).

Well, I guess you could also learn to keep your anger contained and not get mad at a game, too I suppose, ha ha.

You can learn basic electricity skills from redstone that can be applied to a future career. It can teach you responsibility and teamwork when working online on server games.

I learned that in a world that's ruled by Anarchy, you've got to hide your things underwater in a chest somewhere!

Jokes aside, I've never really thought about that; I guess what I've learned is that nothing is impossible to create or do, if you really set your mind to it! (Other than swimming up a waterfall, of course)

Logic circuits. I have a friend who is an electrician who spends a lot of time putting together these really complex lighting systems in his buildings. I've tried to learn redstone wiring but its too much thinking for me.

I think that a lot of people can learn to be more creative in Minecraft. You know, it's a building game. That's definitely something you can improve on, lol. Anyway, if you want to be smart and stuff, you can make redstone creations, because that'll help you become even more creative.

You can learn a bit about how electronics work! Redstone can make some amazing things and they can teach you about how the logic gates work. Although only a small part, it has helped me to understand a bit while learning electronics.

It can also teach you about gravity! Or about how gravity doesn't work right in games sometimes.

Minecraft really expands your broad range of imagination and creativity. Because you have to think of ways to survive (essentially yourself in singleplayer, hence the name single player), but like you have to think about the types of equipment and materials to use and how to build those items.

Patience. When trying to install over 150 mods into the game, you need to be prepared for the amount of debugging and research, to fix all the crash errors that you will come across. I spent so much time trying to find ways to edit config files, to get all the mods working correctly together.

You can probably learn some "creativity" from the game, since you have no limitations to what you can build. I think red stone can also help you in a way, since it's sort of like a puzzle.

I think the ability to make things fit together and work together is the most valuable lesson. If you put just one brick in the wrong spot it can screw everything up.

I learned that everything has a use, to hoard everything I might consider useful as a resource. Also, I realized that punching trees yields wood. An amazing tidbit for life.
