What did you do at very first when you bought Minecraft?

None of my friends had Minecraft that time, so I just joined singleplayer and played around a little bit to understand the game mechanics etc... There was no Minecraft Wiki the time I started playing so I had to discover everything myself.

So what did you do at very first in Minecraft?

Well when I first played I had a bunch of friends to walk me through and we had planned this so there wasn't really much to think lol. Also, I already kind of knew the gist of things.

Well, I actually stayed near the water and built a tall dirt building. At the time, I was too scared to go out at night (creepers and all) so I stayed in this marvelous dirt building for a while.

I got obsessed with building underground bases with a wall of glass that looks underwater. I'm pretty weird! Also, there was not a Minecraft wiki so i had to learn a lot from scratch!

Hah! I didn't even know what minecraft was when I first played it. All I know is I started walking in one direction and that was about it. Didn't pick it up again because I thought it was so boring. I was so wrong though! :D

I played single player and never considered multiplayer until about a month later. The first thing I did was tell my cousin about it and he gave me a LAN tutorial, showed me the basics and then I started a new map.

On the new map, I saw a town in the near distance and decided to walk towards it, just to have me fall into a ravine. It was fabulous. FABULOUS I SAY! ^_~

Dig and craft immediately with the help of Google. :D I spawned in a pretty bad place and had to act quickly, I built a house inside a cave with crappy materials.

I didn't have a Minecraft wiki either. I dug around as well, the same as you did, trying to get used to the basics. But I ended up digging straight down, got stuck in the ground, and ended up hating Minecraft for a while because I had completely no idea what I was doing and just could not figure it out. (I was playing the free pocket edition version of Minecraft.) But once I started playing again, I stayed in single player creative mode for a while. I didn't really get it, until I met other friends who knew a lot more about the game. That was when the world of Minecraft was finally opened up to me. I realized how much you could do with the game, and now, I love it!

I joined a server during my first time. It was a towny server and this one guy helped me out with everything. I joined his town and built a noob house that I thought was the greatest thing ever at the time.

How do you get lost in Creative mode? You can fly sky high.

When I first played Minecraft. I died many, many times. Once I learned how to craft the basics I began to work on a maze of underground tunnels to resources and lava.

I first joined Minecraft with a bunch of friends, and we started out just goofing around on our own private server. I had no idea what I was doing or any of the strategies related to the game were. I was also a pretty bad troll/griefer on the old free to play multiplayer version. Now I hate griefers and feel bad that I went along and destroyed other peoples work. Oops!

I tried building my own tree house too, I built my house literally on top of a tree, I removed the leaves and placed my house there.

I explored and gathered supplies. I also tried to get the little achievements, so that helped me get my bearings a bit. I did need to research how some things were crafted, like rods. When night came I had already finished my house, but in the end I still died by sneak attack from a creeper. After that I was scared to go out at night and just slept through it, but the next morning when I left my house a creeper was waiting outside and killed me...again.

I remember walking around a lot, and eventually getting blown up by a creeper. Soon enough, my friends invited me to their server and walked me through the process.

I don't know if you've ever seen Zero Punctuation's review of minecraft, but he makes a very good point when he says "this is the only game where you Have to look up the spoilers, and No one will judge you for it!"

The first thing I did was run around and start hitting things to see what I could and couldn't do with different types of materials. Took me a few days before I even realized that there were tools that could be used to speed up the mining, digging, and so on.
