What did you do the first time you played Minecraft?

I remember the first time I played Minecraft, I had a really bad house. It was tiny. I had a tunnel underneath it that went to a cave system underground. That was almost all I had. I would occasionally get lost, and would spend hours just trying to find my house again. I also remember that I used to mine quite a lot, and needed to make loads of chests just to store everything.

The first time I played I think I just went around hitting stuff and having fun, I had no idea what I was doing....
Then night-time came along and I died as soon as I approached my first creeper :D

I just went around exploring for the first time playing, and then I actually decided on a mode I wanted to play in, and ended up playing in creative and survival mode a lot.

I walked around the beach looking at stuff and trying to figure out how to craft things. I eventually built a dirt building. I was so proud of it that I kept it the way it was. I wonder whatever happened to that world.

When I first started playing Minecraft a couple of months ago, I remember just exploring the map. I am a big fan of free roam games and I like to just explore them. After exploring a good portion of the map, I started building my first little house.

Not much really. I just went screwing around and watching whatever my friend was doing. Later on, I did spend the time to learn more about the game. The different modes, how to survive, crafting materials, and all of that good stuff.

Oh I died. Then I died again....then I died several more times. Then I learned that I could explode as well....curse that first creeper. I really started Minecraft with no idea of how to play or what I was suppose to do, I felt like a naked child dropped in the wilderness to survive. I think I just went running around for quite the time till I started putting two and two together and build a little shelter and learned how to build basic tools to get more resources.....then I believe I exploded again.

I am proud today though, I go creeper hunting in my full diamond armor just cause I want a chest full of gunpowder.

I think that's pretty much how all of us started out. We exploded, died, ran around, built stuff, and grew with our characters. I would also like to say that I have built a little town along with a working train station with a few other people. However, I only sport iron armor since diamond is so hard to find anywhere.

First thing I do was chuck my controller out the window. I can't figure out how to play the game at first, I thought the game was just about punching trees and digging and building and getting killed. I spend a lot of time figuring out how to craft tools and items and by God that was the trickiest part in this game, you have to be creative to figure things out.

My first time on Minecraft was with two or three friends, in a little private server. I remember that they started to create a stone island while I was configuring my game and undermining all around. I wasted all the night playing with them and it was really enjoyable, even if I was only 'farming' coal. It was funny.

My cousin invited me to a LAN game to tutor me on the basics. He had shown me how to dig a hole, punch trees, build a workbench, doors, tools and gather food. Then after that, I started a new game and found a village nearby. So I set a goal to build a house nearby. That was a very memorable game. Wish I had saved copies of my progression, so i could go back to points in that history.

Wow. That's pretty nice! I like the way that you didn't give up and stop playing minecraft when you died the whole time. It shows that you actually truly care about minecraft! That's always nice to hear. I'm glad that you can now go creeper hunting without any problems! That's a nice reward for persevering.

I died A LOT. I didn't really understand the game mechanics all that well or really what I was supposed to do in the game. So I just ran around, hit stuff, and ended up dying once night came along. Minecraft is really one of those games where it's helpful to have a friend who can show you the ropes of what to do. Otherwise, it takes awhile to get a hang of things and even just get through a night without dying

I built a tree fortress. It was massive and had loads of rooms and like 3 floors.

Originally I started on a small tree but it got too small so I had to expand on it. eventually it just got massive

I remember running around, and dying from hunger and a smallish drop. I got quickly bored of it.

Of course, that was when I played it in-browser. It's a whole different game when you can actually save :D

The first time I played Minecraft, I had little to no clue what to do. I mainly just mirrored what my favorite youtubers did. It was kind of boring at first, since I wanted to start building but did not have any resources.

That actually wasn't at all my case because before I had minecraft, I would have nothing to do except go on the minecraft wiki and search up everything about the game. By the time I actually got the game, I knew a lot about it. I didn't have too ICH trouble after that.

The first time I played Minecraft, I just walked around because I didn't know how to do anything. Then my friend taught me how to interact with blocks but I still didn't know how to build. I was a huge noob when I first started.

The first time I played minecraft I started punching everything. I didn't know what I could do. I had wood, I had seeds (I didn't know you could farm yet) and a lot of dirt. I didn't know dirt was practically useless except for farming, so I made my treehouse out of dirt. Since then I really improved.

I basically ran around and punched trees since that was what my friends told me to do. They guided me through crafting for a while, and eventually I was able to start doing things on my own. I remember I made a big, wooden house and eventually completely lost it. I don't think I ever found that house again.
