What changes do you expect in the near future of Minecraft? What new blocks or items do you think they will add? A new Bioem? What?

The future of Minecraft? Well, I'm looking beyond new items or blocks. I think that the future would include a heavy remake of the graphics. They would probably be more realistic looking rather than pixelated and blocky. I've been longing for the developers to do this. I hope that they would be able to in the near future.

I want to see more content for ocean biomes. Right now they're just another vast expanse to just swim over! I want to actually have something to dive for and to hazards to look out for underwater.

Official mod support that doesn't crash the game when using certain mods

So much no to the heavy remake of graphics. The Minecraft experience is blocky and pixelated. I really hope they don't do anything to really change it.

I've actually given some thought to this before. My friends and I were discussing how we thought that Minecraft, if it continued having massive updates, will soon end up as advanced as Tekkit. They are already adding more redstoning tools like the comparator, and I am foretelling that the game will get more advanced as time goes on.

It looks like Minecraft is advancing. It's advancing, and more and more features are being added to it. In the 1.7 updates, new biomes were added! The 1.7 update was the update that was dubbed 'The update that changed the world,' and for good reason too. If you look at the changelog on MinecraftWiki, you'll know exactly why it was called so. By looking at it, I feel confident that Mojang's work will not falter, and they will continue to make awesome updates, just like the 1.7 one, in the future, which I am definitely looking forward to, whatever they may bring.

I hope there won't be any space ships or advanced weapons in vanilla. However, there are many new mods coming out every day and there will be for quite a while. I can only wish that the game creators don't destroy the medieval atmosphere of the game and leave that to the mod developers. I see Minecraft as one very stable game with high popularity and always on the top.

I'm hoping we get more customizable mad options to change up the play. I also wouldn't mind if they put a built in skin generator. I know in awhile their going to let us change our names if we want which is pretty cool.

I hope they add guns, more challenging mobs, and maybe a new world or biome in a new world. I actually wouldn't mind if they reduced the blockyness of the game too...just by a little bit with respect to the items you use.

Well I'm hoping to see some rpg elements added to the game like quests and actual dungeon bosses and things of that nature.

I really think in terms of game popularity, it's the beginning of the end. Mojang is estranging nearly everyone who runs a server without realizing how many people purchased the game for multiplayer.

In terms of actual items/mobs/game development, I'd like to see more work on the combat system, namely some form of magic because we have the other two "staple" combat styles, ranged and swords/melee. I'm aware that there are mods that implement the use of magic, but an official version would be great. In addition, it'd probably have a more "responsive to the controls" feel to it when being created by professional developers.

I would like things as such as new bosses in the over-world such as Kraken, Forest Monsters, perhaps adding a boss the taiga biome to make it more...lively. As JayLee said earlier I like the idea of a new combat system. Adds a whole new mechanic to the game.

I see an increase in the number of mountable mobs! I would like to see some mobs that we can ride that can fly! That would be awesome! Also, I would like to see more friendly mobs besides the testificates!

I see it lasting for several years to come. The community is just too large for it to fade away anytime soon. I'm very excited at the prospect of virtual reality in some form, even if it is not officially supported by Mojang.

I HOPE official mod support and some way to effectively install those mods. I've only used mods a few times (once or twice) because the installation is a pain in the butt.

I would love to see official mod support, hopefully that would make modded versions ofMinecraft much more stable.

I think Mojang have said that they're planning on this anyway

I would actually love a virtual reality Minecraft, perhaps on the Microsoft HoloLens.
