HI guys have a look here at the mod I'm talking about: https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/3gl65p/skyrim_ultra_modded_gorgeous_screenshots/ For me the whole graphics is really cool but too blury for my eyes. Love the trees and vegetation tough. How about you?
I never really liked ENB mods. I know I can customize them to my liking, but to be honest the atmosphere with ENB never matches the one in original Skyrim. Most presets make it look like a colorful happy land of rainbows, but that's not what bethesda intended. The colors are grim and cold for a reason, Skyrim takes placed in a cold and hostile land. The only graphics mods I ever use/need are the water enhancments and weather enhancements(more rain, more snow, footsteps).
I think that that is the real beauty of this game: the fact that you can customize it to your liking, and some might still prefer the original graphics. Bethesda has truly managed to create a fantastic setting with a great color palette.
Eh, it kinda hurts my eyes and I would imagine this mod would work the hell out of my graphics card and probably cause my computer to melt if I try to run it. I think I'll stick with how the game looks originally.
Yeah it is a little much on the eyes, and yeah only good for top of the line graphics card but meh might be nice sometimes if you can run it.
Like someone said in the reddit thread, "too much bloom"; just because it's over exposed doesn't mean it looks "better". The screenshots taken in the wooded areas look fine, but the ones on mountains, towns or in snow actually hurt my eyes. Also it makes everything look like there's a weird haze on it. (Think of when it gets really hot and you get the "ozone haze".)
It's not very good and isn't worth the performance hit to mod it like that either. If I wanted bad glow effects and to much bloom I could play Tera.
That is what I think about ENB mods as well. They "pretty" the game up needlessly, and remove many aspects of the graphics that are actually there to enhance the gaming atmosphere. And yes, that requires lots of fog, snow and rain, to make you actually feel like you are in the high north of Skyrim.
It depends on your choice of ENB mods. There are some less popular (i.e. not in front page of Nexus) ENB modification that can quite match the atmostphere of Skyrim and even improves on it. But I agree that this is too "bright" for an immersion playthrough. Have a look at the Grim&Somber ENB, maybe it's a better fit for you.
It seems too blurry but if the "creator" tones it down I might use his combination, it looks pretty good other than that.
This reminds me of a "reality version" mod of GTA 4. It's the same concept on this one. It's very eyesoring, to be honest. I wouldn't personally download and use it.
