Well, I used to play Dota and Dota 2 like a lot and due to that all my school friends played LoL I finally decided to move and play LoL with all of them, I had to choose between winning every game with my team or try hard on dota, now a days I still play Dota 2 and also LoL when my friends ask me to play with them, so the question is, what do you think about Dota players in LoL?

DotA is actually more complex in terms of mechanics, so I think that they would be able to play to a fairly competent degree. They might not be able to recognise all the champions and abilities from the get-go though.

I've played both, even though I was more attracted to League of Legends. DotA is more complex and has harder-to-learn mechanics, while LoL is easier to learn and beginner-friendly. I personally liked DotA as well and I wouldn't be able that one or the other is "shittier". They are different in a lot of concerns and shouldn't be compared, but both of them have one thing in common: a lot of kids.

I've never really like DotA and usually playfully pay out my friends for playing it, but in my opinion it is a much more complex game than League and if a DotA player decides to pick up League, then why not. As long as they don't somehow appear in my Gold ranked games, haha.

I am highly agree with you, there are many kids that actually ruin most of your games, they're both way different games that should not be compared, that is right, it is all about tastes and personal gameplay in general.

As DOTA is a lot harder to play and to learn than LoL, which can basically be played by any 12 year nob, normally I believe that a DOTA player who switched to LoL, should be a lot experienced more experienced than the average player and also have a better vision on the overall game.

I've never had an issue with Dota players playing league. Dota players will pick up League pretty quickly. It's a fairly easier game to learn and play than Dota.

I haven't played this new version of Dota but in my experience players who have experience with other MOBAs usually play a lot better than complete beginners so I'd say they are very much welcome to use their skills to help me win lol. I only don't like it when these experienced players are on the other team and I end up getting stomped because I don't have previous MOBA experience myself.

I think this is true of most multiplayer games in general, save a select few like EVE online. FPS and MOBA games especially suffer from a population of screaming adolescents.

I never played DoTA since the mechanics were to hard for me (and DoTA players had such bad rep in my area since they tend to end up in a fist fight after losing a game).

Playing LoL was easier, as the others had said. But I can usually spot a DoTA player who has just started playing LoL since they like to kill champions more than acquire CS for gold. I didn't understand why that is until someone told me there's an item in DoTA that stops minions from going to the enemy turrets.

To answer your question, I'm cool with DoTA players until they start saying that DoTA is better in game. Then, please, by all means, go back to DoTA.

I think it's awesome that instead of trash talking, saying Dota 2 is better than lol, they are actually experiencing and trying out the game for themselves.

I was never able to get into DoTA, the game is too weird for me and League of Legends seemed easier. I have a lot of respect for DoTA players though, they have a harder game to play.

League of Legends it actually is easier, is a DoTA simplified to the extreme, even players who have been into DoTA for years do not know everything in the game and every item/combo, as it's a lot more complex game than LoL.

As a player of both, Dota 2 and League are basically the same game. Same map layouts, same hero design, same gameplay. I don't see why people keep arguing which is better, considering they're basically the same thing. 10 players, all with a role to play, first phase is the farming lane where you get as much gold as you can before the enemy get their items, mid game where heroes exchange kills and deaths, and late game where the carry will, well, carry their own team to victory. I see no difference.

It's honestly the same to me. As long as you're able to pick up League's game mechanics properly you could be coming from Battlefield 4 for all I care. Dota is more complex, so that might be an advantage in the long run, but I don't see why it should single out any player.
