Do you have a particular preference or do you just roll with what you're given? I personally love the mountains but I tend to stay away from the desert areas. The worst one was when I started a new game on an island with nothing but water in every direction.

I love the ocean maps personally, and if I don't like what I'm given then I just make my own, I'm even thinking about starting a map building team with my friends, I think it will be pretty cool.

I love mountains because you can build really strange and interesting things three especially on floating islands or cliffs
The desert is just the worst though because I can NEVER find water or wood!

I've never tried to incorporate mountains into my building structures; That is a very interesting concept, which I must try sometime. Although I do agree with ACN on the desert biomes, as well. My favorite map to play on would have to be the jungle maps! I love building my homes on top of the highest tree that I can find. I think that it is very challenging and dangerous, and not only that, but it keeps the mobs away! lol.

I like landscapes next to oceans which are like a peninsula. I like to use the peninsula part as a base, and explore from there by sailing around the coastline.

I have never thought about putting mountains into them either, although it does sound very interesting. I'll be getting my team together for sure, so we can really look into doing this.

Cool ideas everyone. I hope that when they roll out the next big update that they include way more map scenarios. That would be pretty sweet.

I love forests. There's something about them that gives the game a sense of foreboding and a sort of heightened emotions. Having a house that gets higher than the trees is cool. It gets extra scary at night though.

All I want is for water/oceans to be improved, I want to fight giant squid! Or sharks, or literally any underwater hard mob

Each world type defintely has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Desert can sometimes be difficult to find water or wood, but is great if you need a lot of flat land to build on. Ocean is my personal favorite because it provides a bit of a challange but still has plenty of all the reserources needed to build a large structure or city. Flatland if boring. I can see the appeal of Mountains to some people, but I prefer more flat areas to build on, these are sometimes difficult to find in a mountain world.

I like flat lands because they provide an opportunity to build a lot of awesome things. I also like the forests because they are so green and look so nice with those trees all over the place.
What I like the best is be jungle, though. It is the greenest place and seems to be the most adventurous.

I like to build my bases and homes off the sides and throughout the insides of the biggest mountain I can find towards the beginning of the world. That's sort of difficult to do in a flatlands biome without a single hill!

Snow plains all the way. I'm surprised no one has said it yet but to each his own. Anyway, I like to build in snow plains since it's just so cozy to make a house that is lit up and there is plenty of spruce wood to go around. The snow makes everything better.

Snow plains is a fun pace to make a cozy wooden cabin yeah, but it can't beat mountains. Snowballs are deadly though. Just kidding... But I usually had an well outside, but that always froze........

I love amplified maps because they are massive and have gigantic mountains or floating island that you can build on. They're also quite fun because you get lost easily underground and over ground. This makes exploring much more exciting and enjoyable in my opinion :)

I like mountain terrains, they provide more action and gameplay than flatlands.

I love oceans, making a little boat and living on it, finding an island and surviving on it. It just feels more like a survival game than a sandbox game.

I like mountains. There are many trees and animals. And also I like to see the place below me.
