What is your fondest memory of WoW?

My fondest memory is meeting, this guy I can't remember his name exactly. But, he helped me learn how to play the game and showed me how to level my characters quickly.

My fondest memories of WoW are not WOW related they are all DotA oriented. WoW taught me the mechanics I needed to become a successful DotA player so my memories are all in the actual DotA map that was made and used thru the WoW portal.

I'm not even sure, to be honest. Far too many memories to sift through!

Three years ago. It was my first month of WoW, and after giving up on a Tauren elemental shaman, I started a Human protection paladin. I have to say, I had the best experience ever leveling that guy. First of all, it was Christmas time, so everyone was happy in dungeons. I also had the time of my life leveling through post-Cataclysm Westfall, laughing at all the jokes blizz included in that area. Then, my absolute favorite memory was me joining a dungeon in progress (as a tank) and immediately saving the others' asses. Upon seeing this, people started typing in party chat "Finally, a good tank". That made me feel like a good tank (and I was pretty good until I reached heroic dungeons :/ ) and boosted my ego slightly.

I'd have to say my fondest memory is that of my husband showing me the game for the firs time (back then, he was only my boyfriend, and we'd only been dating for 2-3 months a that point). I thought it looked like the most amazing game and I ran out and bought it the very next day and have been hooked since.

I still remember he showed me how he gets around in the game with the flight points, and then he flew to the Alterac Valley instance (back when you actually had to go to the instance entrance in order to get into the battle ground), and proceeded to show me how he battled the Alliance with his Orc Shaman.

Hmm... Probably the time i met a really good friend on there. We were both at the starting area and then he said something really funny in the chat and i wrote in all caps ROFL. After that we just hanged out and we still play games now n days.

For me it has to be the firs raid (Molten Core) during the vanilla wow era. Not even completing it but just getting in to it. I was playing as a tank so it was going to be a daunting task. We really didn't do too well on our first attempt, we got to the first boss, can't remember if we killed it though.

Either way, it was exciting, fun and hard. Not had an experience like it since and honestly, probably never will.

Having fun with close guild mates. Raiding, drunk raiding, power leveling while doing stupid stuff in dungeons... Even going as far as to troll LFR just to mess with people was a lot of fun. Nothing malicious about it, we were just trying to make the game more fun for all involved. We'd sometimes even collab with other guilds to host World PvP.

Fondest memory is probably protecting an ally from a horde camper while I was also horde. It was in Hellfire Penninsula, I still love that area. Anyway, poor guy was being killed over and over again. I told the guy to get lost, but he didn't want to. I challenged him to a duel to get him occupied. I smashed him to the ground and the ally could finally do his quests.
A day later I got a message thanking me for helping him from a level 10 something horde character. Turns out that was his first char and he was camped for quite a while before that. He switched to horde because I saved him once, then years later we still raided together in MoP.

Oh, I love that dungeon, even though I mostly played Horde, a friend of mine convinced me to try Ally for some time, I fell in love with that dungeon in an instant.
