We all have grown to play MMOs of our more mature tastes, but at the same time, there are always games in the back of our mind we want to replay for a while. This is usually because of the nostalgic feeling they give to players. Making us feel as if we are young again. So, what is the game that makes you feel young, and think about the past? For me it has the be 9Moons because I used tonalways play when it was still on Acclaim. It had everything I liked. PvP was stellar, IMO. Now that it has moved on, I still find myself either looking through private servers just to get a feeling of nostalgia and finding other players who used to be well-known. What was yours?

Bright Shadow was, and still is, my favourite MMO, and the latter is mainly because of the previously existing (and still partially existent) community & fond memories. However, after it was shut down and then relaunched under different companies a number of times (with many of the well-known players being in each version), it now only exists as a relatively small private server that is still in something of a testing stage. I liked the mentor system available in that game, as well as the general atmosphere, but most importantly, the community & friends I made there.

World of Warcraft. I love that game and any other MMO that I play just makes me want to go back to WoW even more.

Definitely World of Warcraft. I've been playing that game for a decent portion of my life with no intention of stopping anytime soon.

I think the DWO. Digimon World Online. Technically, it's nostalgic because of watching the television show so much when I was younger. However, I find myself wanting to go back and play the DWO MMO once again even though I know it's pretty much just a cash trap. To be fair though, the prices for the stuff they sell in the game are much more reasonable than stuff for sale towards other games.

Currently destiny is my favorite. Once I get burned on a game I am usually done with it, so other than occasionally playing I'm gonna leave it there

Guild Wars 2, amazing game. I love the fact that PVE differs a lot from all other games and it's really interesting too.

For me there are two big ones that I always come back to, one way or the other for some length of time before moving on again, only to repeat the cycle, Runescape and Dofus. Most if not everyone has heard of Runescape and knows exactly what it is like, Dofus is a French MMO with TBS combat, a player based economy and an interesting profession system.

Well, one nostalgic game I still play despite its oldness is World of Warcraft. Although I don't play it that much anymore, I keep playing 30 minutes per day just to remember the old days when everyone would play it. In fact, I'm the only one from my group of friends who still play this game.

One of my first MMOs was Ragnarok Online, back in the old beta days. I stuck with it on and off for quite a while as it was one of the few MMORPGs I knew of that my awful old computer could run and that my friends were interested in playing. I never did any of the War of Emperium or boss hunting type stuff, I was super casual and liked to make tons and tons of alts. Once in a while I get the urge to go back and collect cards and hats yet again, so I probably play for a couple months on and off every other year or so... I think it'll always have a special 'nostalgic place' in my heart. I still love the soundtrack and the graphical style with the super detailed sprites, cute and funny card arts, and the way the textures on the 3D models have that kind of hand painted feel. It's an old game and it hasn't aged the best, but I think it still looks pretty nice.

World of Warcraft has always been My go to MMORPG. It has been there for all my childhood. It has gone through a lot of change but I have always supported it.

Ragnarok Online. The first MMO I loved. My cousins introduced to me and we played in an internet cafe for hours. I did some World of Warcraft years ago but Ragnarok gave me Nostalgic Memories.

You still play RuneScape? I played it for 8 years and I can't stand it anymore.

The only MMO I ever feel like replaying is Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE... but the western servers were killed off and I don't want to play in the JP servers :(

It was one of the few MMOs I ever truly enjoyed, since it had a lot of what made Shin Megami Tensei a fun franchise in the first place...

It's not an MMO, per-say, but I haven't been able to kick the addiction I have for Kingdom of Loathing. However, my first experience of online games was MozartMUD. Look at me dating myself - MUDs are text-based mult-user RPGs with a much heavier focus on the RP aspect.

I remember I wanted so badly to start my own MUD, but I was 13 and didn't know any better. Now I'm a programmer. :\

Definitely RuneScape! I grew up playing this game. I haven't been on this game for a long time now but i always come back once in a while. I'm not going to lie, i really had so much fun in this game, so many memories from people who became my friends in the game as well as my classmates whom i hang out with in the game after school. Good times. :)

Kind of a lame response but WoW and Runescape are my favorite old MMOs by a longshot. I love being able to come back to those games and just chill for a bit, reliving the old moments.

I'm old, clocking in at age 28. My first MMO (And still love) is Ultima Online from 1997-1998, considered widely by most as the Grandfather of Modern MMOs (since it wasn't 3d - Everquest 1 was the first 3d MMO). I can play private shards all day. Or Dark Age of Camelot, or Everquest 1. Those were my top picks back in the day for MMOs before WoW and Guild Wars came around.

This is a no-brainer but I love LoL. I've been playing it since the first season. Also, Ragnarok has been around for more than a decade I already feel old saying that but the nostalgia is real for that game.

I have to concur with LoL being another MMO crush of mine. I've been here since Beta and I've enjoyed mostly watching it evolve into the E-sports scene. It's pretty legit and cool to think other opportunities like Twitch that helped (or at least aided in) taking off because of it as well. Lots of good stuff came about.
