the one genre which you really love, but which has never been made into an MMO? Preferably one which you think would work really well as an MMO of some kind. I think we can all agree that a poin and click maybe wouldn't work so well, but then again, maybe you think it would?

A while ago I made a thread here to suggest Terminator could have made a good MMORPG.
Players can choose between humans and machines to fight each other in massive battles.

Narnia could be another good one.

Maybe even one of the zombie movies/video games can be made into MMORPG.
Resident Evil (Biohazard) could be a great storyline behind the game. Or The Walking Dead. Or World War Z.
Players can choose to play as humans and ... special zombies (think about those special zombies from the game Left 4 Dead). It was fun enough to play Versus in Left 4 Dead as special zombies (boomer, smoker, hunter, and tank), so I guess it can also be done in a MMORPG setting. Even humans can choose different faction to fight each other over resources, shelters, objectives (such as to obtain virus or combat data in Resident Evil game series), and other things.

I've never seen a PROPER zombie mmo yet. All of the current ones are lackluster and pretty shoddy.

I know the market is flooded with Zombie games at the moment, but I would personally pay good money for this sort of thing. The only issue I can think of is;how would there be any...objectives or anything if you're a zombie? They're brainless in most media, so you would have to give them some sort of agency in your game for this to work for both sides

I agree that we do need an awesome Zombie type MMO game around here. I would pay money to play as long as it is good. I think that the game would be a great idea and the character choice would be awesome too. I for one would love to play as a special Zombie.

Not exactly a genre but I'd really like to see the Dark Souls series get an MMO treatment. It's already got online with MMO elements in it so might as well go full fledge MMORPG. Instead of using summons, players can just team up and venture into the depths of hell together.

Have you tried DayZ yet? It's great and it does have zombies! Although you can be killed by players too...

A zombie type MMo will be awesome where you will have humans and zombies fight each other.

WarZ and DayZ are the only ones we really got for this kind of game. As a full on MMORPG, i don't see this sort of thing having a lot of replay value imo.

I would like to see a Age of Empires MMORPG, which a character will choose a certain age he or she desires to start in prior to 1900 C.E [must finish mission in 1800s time to unlock and progress; expansions will be 20th, 21st, and so forth in centuries].

The world map will be a mimicry of known human empires and nations from the history books, and model similar to Earth. To traverse through time will be found at the World Wonders in each time reality, but changes location in each age of Earth and will only be accessible after a certain main mission is unlocked and finished.

Weapons, skills, and traits vary for each time-line, but will all be balance to be effective against different persons from other ages e.g. caveman spears are always effect, so long as one is in close-range; shields can block or deflect thrown spears and arrows, but not too well with bullets; gun wielding persons will lack or have little close-range combat skills, but deadly at long range combat.

So, maybe someone will be interested in this comment and recommend it to the creators of Age of Empires producers.

I want a game with insane amounts of contents to grind through, not just content for the sake of content but content that rose in difficulty and had lots of side-quests and impact on the main story-line. I want a game where the actual gameplay is in the form of Diablo but with more options considering customization of characters and builds
