    The "world" an MMORPG is based on is quite important.

    There are worlds with humans only. And there are worlds with elves, dwarves, orces, halflings, etc. The races aren't even the only settings a world can choose. For human world for example, there could be magic, or no magic. There could be firearms or no firearms. It could be set in ancient time, or modern time, or even in a futuristic world.

    Which world setting do you like the best in an MMORPG?

    I prefer epic worlds set back in the past... midieval dragons and knights etc...

    I like futuristic space games. I like all of the technology and lore they provide.

    It's hard to say I like both fantasy and sci-fi. However my biggest issue is that sci-fi tends to go too much for the apple store look. >.>;

    Yeah, I see a lot of that nowadays. They go for this utopian "clean" sci-fi look.

    I like games with humans only. I feel the whole humans vs orcs thing has been done way too many times now.

    I tend to enjoy the fantasy worlds the most. The more details and realism the better

    Honestly, anything to do with elves, dwarves, and knights have been done to death. And it's getting to the point the space stuff is getting played out too.

    So anything that even tries the tiniest thing new, even if it turns out badly, I'm more than happy to give it a shot.

    I choose Humans only. It's not that I don't like elves, dwarves or anything but I feel comfortable to play with it. Too many MMO have that already.

    Elves, mainly because the elvish locations are usually depicted as having bizarre plants and pretty colours — and I love bizzare plants and pretty colours. :D
