What Kind of Builder Are You?

    What's your building style? Do you do big, small, pre-planned, spontaneous? Got any examples of your work?

    I struggled for a while to find out what kind of builder I am. I wanted to be someone who made really big, fancy looking things. I recently concluded that big builds just aren't my thing. I don't have the imagination for it. What I am good at, however, is making things that are small but well detailed. I work so much better on the small scale.

    For instance, here's a stony house that I'm rather proud of.

    I don't really plan to what I build. Whatever pops out of my mind. I build it and simple as that.

    I am a shitty builder. :)
    Honestly, I'm not that good at building things, I would rather cave and explore. Perhaps make redstone contraptions. But not build. Having said that, I do enjoy building, but I never plan it ahead. I simply go with what feels natural. I try to incorporate the terrain as well, and that helps a lot! I use wood or stone bricks for my builds, since I like those best.

    I like your designs, lots of details and very varied.
    I'm the kind of builder that sets out to build a huge castle but halfway through I decide that it's way too big and I end up building a smaller building inside the half-built castle :)

    I only plan the dimensions, other than that I create whatever I want! Like, if I make a mansion I'll make the outline for symmetry but then I'll make a funky looking inside.

    Hey that looks awesome! I have a background on architectural design so I always plan out my buildings that is if I don't get lazy because most of the time I just slop around with my buildings.

    I build very spontaneous. I don't like to map out every move. It keeps me fluid and inspired throughout me time of gaming.

    I just build it. No plans no whatever, once I got an idea out of my head I would go for it. If I feel like making a car base then I would just go and create it without much thought of how the hell am I going to do it.

    I'm a lazy builder, because I build only a normal house without decorations or something. I'm not into architecting too much.

    Go big or go home! I've built a few small houses, but most of my buildings consist of large temple like structures. I love building big shrines with a lot of secret passages. I'm not the best builder, and sometimes my final product is nowhere near what I initially planned, but I get the job done. Sorry, no examples to share, I never kept pictures.

    I prefer building small things with fine details, although I'll occasional bring detail to a larger scale. I just like going small because you can do more unique things rather than just making something gigantic.

    I don't think I'm really any kind of "builder" I just build what comes to mind, sometimes it's extremely detailed, with the use of a whole bunch of different materials, and sometimes it's really plain, with the uses of glass and stone brick. It really just depends on my mood, and if I'm on a creative kick. Sometimes I really put a lot of time and effort into my work, but usually, I do not, because those creative kicks only come only ever once in a great while, but when they do, oh man, prepare for some greatness, haha.
